he's only doing covers because the album is only a try out to see how it will do. he said if he makes another then they will be wrote by himself.

Surely the first album is make or break? They should be making it as brilliant as they can (hard with Eoghan's crap vocal talent) so that people will buy it.

I doubt he's going to do very well if it's full of shitty covers.

Agreed, the first album is everything such as why the most successful winners like Kelly and Leona took a year to do their albums. You cannot rush the first album, or any album in fact.

The album will flop and he will flop... bad move by his management.

I can't believe Simon wanted Alexandra's first album to be covers. That would have buggered her career up big time. Luckily they decided to listen to what she wanted and sent her to America.

Yuk, The album's just to make a quick buck. Record companies know he has no chance at a serious long term career so they're just pumping out a quick cheap cover albums and will drop him in a few months time.

I'd be surprised and furious if they did. I think since she's got more of an indie fanbase they'll probably go for iriginal material as covers wouldn't work well (unless they are changed up a bit and made more original).
