Housemates had the rudest of awakenings this morning when Big Brother threw breakfast into the bargain. Literally.
Big Brother welcomed the housemates to a new day at 9.15am by announcing they would receive breakfast in bed. And there was a moment of happy anticipation, the sense that Big Brother was really going to give them a treat for all their charming efforts to entertain us.
Wrong.
Suddenly, out of specially designed compartments in the ceiling, poured breakfast. Eggs, sausage, beans and porridge were dumped on the housemates' heads from above, prompting Kenzie to yell, "You w*****s", instead of "Thank you".
...pass the ketchup!
Kenzie jumped out from his bed as the full English storm rained down, kicking out and swearing. "They got me too," said Caprice, clearly disgusted.
Bez had been on the bottom bunk and had escaped the deluge, but still said, "That's really nasty, that!" before rolling over and trying to catch a bit more shut-eye.
Jeremy ducked under the covers and managed to escape the downpour. And though Brigitte managed to avoid the mess, having already got up, her teddy bear and bed weren't so lucky. She was not amused.
Housemates had been asked to order their favourite breakfast the day before, but were hoping it might be served on plates rather than dropped on their heads.
