'Serious' Disturbance At Category C Prison (http://news.sky.com/skynews/Home/UK-News/Prison-Disturbance-At-HMP-Ashwell-In-Rutland-Specialist-Prison-Officers-Dealing-With-Incident/Article/200904215260200?lpos=UK_News_Carousel_Region_0&lid=ARTICLE_15260200_Prison_Disturbance_At_HMP_Ash well_In_Rutland%3A_Specialist_Prison_Officers_Deal ing_With_Incident)

Sources round the prison say its involving over 100 inmates and Fire services cant gain access to the jail because its not secure

I live 2 miles away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That doesn't sound pretty Kiz.

Lock your doors (I'd say arm yourself too, with a bat or something - but it sounded a bit melodramatic... but yeah, do... just in case).

The Leicester Mercury reported that an inmate's father said his son had called him to say there was a riot in the prison.
He told the paper: "He called me up to say it had all kicked off in the prison and there was a riot and that the prisoners were setting fire to stuff."

See, now if they brought in the cattle prods none of this would happen because noone would have any self worth to start a riot

We only live a short way away but we should be ok.

The knock on effect will be in the local town because all the local bobbies are at the prison making sure the riot stays within the jail. Any crims around the area will know that the police presence will be almost zero

Another blank cheque of a damage bill for the tax payer.....Less money to spend on the health service.....

They should shoot the beggars long before serious expensive damage is done......
