It will soon be the 20th anniversary of The Hillsborough Disaster which Killed 96 people. It happened 15 April 1989 which is not long ago if you think about it. More info below
The Hillsborough Disaster was a deadly human crush that occurred on 15 April 1989, at Hillsborough, a football stadium home to Sheffield Wednesday in Sheffield, England, resulting in the deaths of 96 people (all fans of Liverpool Football Club). It remains the deadliest stadium-related disaster in British history.[1] It was the second of two stadium-related disasters to feature Liverpool supporters, the other being the Heysel Stadium Disaster in 1985.
The match was an FA Cup semi-finals clash between Liverpool and Nottingham Forest. It was abandoned six minutes into the first half.
The inquiry into the disaster, the Taylor Report, named the cause as failure of police control, and resulted in the conversion of many football stadiums in the United Kingdom to all-seater and the removal of barriers at the front of stands.

They had a minutes silence today before the liverpool game started.
Basically there was thousands of fans trying to get in, and it was getting crowded so they opened a door without a turnstile to let people out and loads of people went rushing in not knowing the people at the front were being crushed. They still dont know why side pens wernt opened either.
The match was stopped 6 minutes in, and people were trying to climb the fence to get out of the crush, and eventually the fence broke and loads of fans went onto the pitch gasping for air.
And when they got onto the pitch police had to set up a barrier to prevent them to getting to the nottingham supporters, surprisingly some liverpool fans were trying to get to the nottingham fans, even though there was people in need for help.
96 people died
766 people were injured.
Terrible day for football.

Im Happy with the liverpool Fans.
And Especially the blackburn fans.
When england vs solvakia i think it was, done a minutes silence for the 14 ivory cost fans that died like 2 days before there was some idiots in the crowd shouting which is majorly disrespectful.
Im Happily surprised at the liverpool fans, the stadium was SILENT.

^Liverpool fans are the best in the world... It's Man utd fans that are vile!
I remember they day well, was watching it on tv.. Mayhem!
The police made it worse and they were stopping people from getting over the fence! Football was still in the dark days back then, hence the heavy police treating fans like prisoners of war.
If anything good came out of this then it was the change in the law to make football stadiums have seats and bring down the huge fence... Football had to change!
The early 90s brought many changes, seats in stadiums, money from sky tv and a clean image to attract more people to the games.
The dark days of the late 70s and 80s have gone, just a shame it had to cost 96 lives to bring these changes.

When we're away our fans are usually louder than the home teams fans.
Anyway, Villa fans are awful, always booing their own team when they're getting beat.

Arsenal fans are nothing great, Liverpool fans are more known for being great fans than Arsenal are!
And i aint saying that because i am a Liverpool fan, it is a well known fact!
Arsenal have no soul, blank, lifeless, empty.... Tis sad.
Tuesday... Liverpool 3 - 1 Arsenal.
