Welcome to the new Series of :: TiBB's Photography Competition

Basically, TiBB's Photography Competition is what it says it is, a Photography competition. Every Week TiBB members will have to take photo's, corresponding with a certain theme set by me. Other forum members will vote in a live show, and each week the person with the least amount of votes will leave the competition, until there is only one person left

Thanks Guys. TiBB's Photography Competition will start on Sunday the 19th, where the contestants will be given the theme for week one. They will have one week to take and send me their photographs. On Saturday the 25th, their work will be shown to the forum members, and forum members will post the two entries they like the most. This will happen every week until the competition ends. There will be no huge twists, just a nice simple competition

You need judges. Otherwise it will end up being a popularity contest in some sense.

Do you reckon photo quality would ruin chances, in the last one I had a proper camera, but I have broke it since. Would have to use my phone, not great quality.

Nice idea!
I don't think it could realistically work because half the criteria people need to take into account before voting is how well that person has done in previous rounds. Makes no sense for someone who has been consistently good in the past to be eliminated for one bad photo over someone who has been below average and got lucky.

I don't think it could realistically work because half the criteria people need to take into account before voting is how well that person has done in previous rounds. Popularity didn't affect it in the last one, Michelle won with flying colours and that was at a time when she wasn't as well known as today.

The Format about voting
1. [i]The Photo's will be posted on a Saturday night each week, in a live show. Members can then vote for two pieces of Work, in a post. The Person with the least amount of votes will then be eliminated on the sunday night.
2. [i]The Photo's Will be posted on a Saturday night each week. Members can vote in an online Poll for two pieces of work. The person with the least amount of votes will be Eliminated on the sunday night
3. [i]The Photo's Will be posted on a Saturday night each week. Members can vote in an online poll Or The thread, for their two favourite pieces. The two people with the least amount of votes will then face the judges decision, where the 3 judges will vote for the person that they think should leave the competition
Which option do you all prefer?
I hate the idea of a poll. Its terrible. :thumbs:

A mic of 2 and 3. CERTAINLY not voting in the thread, but the idea of the bottom two facing a judges vote could work very well.

So number 2 is out of the equasion then? I really want to keep it simple, for number 1.. but also don't want it to be too boring, number 3. I am split, opinions?

Good idea! I have u2ued a few people already about possibly becoming judges, will need to see though. I want people who have experience in photography! I will post a full review of the voting in a minute! Thanks Sam!
People should vote over u2u's then go to the judges to pick between bottom 2.

In no circumstance should members or the contestants get a look at how the voting is going, so a poll or voting in the thread is totally out of the equasiong. Vote by U2U, then judges vote.

The Schedule of each week
Every Saturday night there will be a live show where the photo's will all be shown to the forum. When all of the photo's have been shown, the voting will open. People have to send a u2u to me, with the names of the two people they think took the best photo. The voting will close on Sunday evening and the results revealed shortly after. The bottom two will be put to the judges decision, where the three judges will have to eliminate one of them. Once one has been eliminated on the sunday night, the next theme will be revealed. The contestants will have until the next saturday, at 5pm, to get their photo's in to me via u2u.
How does that sound? I am going to walk the dog, so will be back on in about 15 mins XD

Good good. I'll probably do another Clique late this year. Cause the one early this year was a test really. And It's my only show. I dunno if BB BOTS will work again.
