I am sure you wont die... you can live without touching water, not all liquids are water... and surely your not made out of actual water but liquids... also it depends what in water you are allergic too... because you could most likely solve it be destilling it and taking everything out, although plain water is actually a disgusting taste, if you took everything out and just drank pure water it would taste vile.

It tastes stale, its the minerals and bits in it that give it a 'taste' kind of...

I used to get that but it was only when i had a shower at my house, so i based it on the impurities in the water that i was allergic to, not the water itself.

It's a chemical thing, if you think of how smelly the bad egg smell is (Hydrogen Sulphide) and look at the other hydrides in the same group it it turns out that water is really really smelly.
