Love is in the air. The scent comes from 1,000 romantic ruby-red roses.
And one of them will turn to £1,000 of glittering gold!
To mark Valentine's Day on February 14, we're launching our most romantic competition ever.
And to help us we've enlisted the help of one of the country's most eligible bachelors - handsome Big Brother winner Cameron Stout.
All next week Cameron will visit villages, towns, workplaces, shops and housing estates right across the North-east.
Dressed like every woman's dream Mr Right in a suave tuxedo and travelling in a chauffeur-driven limo, Cameron's mission is to Search for the Golden Rose.
Our eventual lucky-in-love winner will scoop a luxury holiday for two in the most romantic place in the world - Paris.
Cameron - who confesses he is still searching for his Miss Right - said: "This is definitely one of the best competitions I've ever heard of.
"I can't wait to get out there to start handing out the roses.
"I love the folk of the North-east who are so warm and friendly and have a great sense of humour.
"I'll be giving the red roses out to women of all ages, from all walks of life, from Buchan in the north all the way south to Stonehaven.
"And who knows, I might even meet my own Juliet at the same time!"
So how does our Search for the Golden Rose work?
On Monday, Cameron will don his tuxedo and slide into the seductive limo for his first romantic rendezvous.
During the day he'll be handing out hundreds of roses wherever he happens to be.
You can even invite him to come directly to you!
Our photographer will capture the delighted smiles of everyone who gets a Monday red rose.
From the next day, we'll publish loads of photos and select 12 that really stand out - our Daily Dozen. Each of the people in our Daily Dozen pictures published on Tuesday until Saturday automatically goes through to the final Search for the Golden Rose.
Then it's all up to Cameron to pick his favourite photo.
He will decide which of the 60 finalists - and the partner of their choice - will jet off on that dream trip to Paris.
The winner will be announced on the most romantic day of the year, Valentine's Day - Monday, February 14.
The luxury holiday to the City for Lovers also includes £250 of spending money.
Cameron, who is fluent in French and has often worked in Paris, said: "What a fantastic prize for Valentine's Day! The city is breath-taking.
"You can almost feel the romance from the top of the Eiffel Tower to the banks of the Seine. Yes, I'm a true romantic at heart.
"But only once have I sent a dozen red roses to a girl on Valentine's Day.
"Sadly, I did it anonymously because I wasn't brave enough to put my name on the card.
"I don't think she ever knew who they came from ..... unless she reads this and puts two and two together!"
After Valentine's Day, the most romantic thing Orkney-born Cameron will have on his mind is planning the stag night for his brother Julyan, who gets married to fiance Simone in May.
Stunning Barcelona looks like being the destination for the Cameron boys and their friends.
"It looks like I just can't get away from love and marriage this year," chuckles Cameron, with a twinkle in his eye.
We're offering readers the chance to issue their personal Search for a Golden Rose invitation to Cameron.
Just get in touch with us and tell us where you want him to come to deliver a rose to you.
Cameron is ready and willing to travel to factories, shops, hospitals, care homes, clubs, community centres, or neighbours on a street.
We can't guarantee getting round to everyone, but Cameron will visit as many as he can.
