Michelle to Marry her 'Chicken'
Big Brother lovebirds Stuart Wilson and Michelle Bass are to wed.
Stuart, 21, proposed to Michelle, 23, on Valentine's Day after getting down on bended knee.
The couple, who met during the last series of Big Brother, were the first to have sex on the live reality show, watched by millions.
"The engagement means the world to Michelle," said a friend of the couple.
"They are perfect together. They are closer now than they've ever been and are ready to show the world just how serious their relationship is."
Stuart and Michelle, who have been dating for seven months and live together in St Albans, Herts, have not yet set a date for the wedding.
Michelle, who dubbed Stuart her "chicken" on Big Brother 5, have already been spotted looking for rings in London jewellery district Hatton Garden.
"Some people might think it's a bit soon, that they are too young and that they are rushing into it," a friend of the couple told The People.
"The way they see it, some people date for years and never take it to the next level while others meet and within seconds know they are going to spend the rest of their lives together.
"That's the way it happened with them. Michelle and Stuart know they are meant for each other."
Hopefully things will run better on their big day than when the couple were involved in a mock wedding on Big Brother. Stuart refused to allow Michelle to be his bride and the Geordie girl was labelled a bunny boiler for her possessive behaviour.
Michelle and Stuart aren't the first couple to find love on Big Brother. Sophie Pritchard and Lee Davy married in 2003 after meeting on Big Brother 3.
Helen Adams and Paul Clarke live together after meeting on Big Brother 2, while Tom McDermott and Claire Strutton met on the first Big Brother in 2000. They moved to Marbella and had a son together, but split last year.

Ever notice, (apart from BB1), that couple getting together on an odd numbered BB get married and nobody who seems to get together on an even numbered BB does get married.
Looks like Helen and Paul will never ever get married.

Well I tried to find my post at the time when Lee & Sophie were getting married as I feel about the same about these two.
I do wish them luck and hope its all happening for the right reasons.
I think they are going to get lots of people saying its too soon but I'm sure by now they know each other quite well.
As for Helen & Paul I'm sure they will get married one day Sticks and when they do we will be sure its for the right reason. There is nothing I'd love more than to hear they were engaged but I know that the important thing is that they are still happy together 4 years on (fingers crossed)
afterall some marriages don't last that long.
Big Brother went to Michelle's head, you only have to see her in magazines or on TV and she thinks shes a celeb, little does she realise shes the same as any of us here.
Suppose i better say good luck seeing how Stu is a good bloke.

I think it's great:dance::dance::elephant::dance:
People say it's too soon but I still maintain that if you can live with somebody 24 hours a day 7 days a week for 9 weeks, you've gotta know them pretty well.
I'm sure Paul & H will get married one day. They're too well suited not to:dance::elephant::love:

Hi I've not posted for a while, I would like to thank Michelle for being top entertainment during BB5 and wish her all the best! I hope Stu keeps her happy!
Well done, those two!

Good luck to the pair of them. My OH was only 20 when we married (I was the older woman of 21) and we are still together after 33 years so it can work. You do however change a lot as people after that age, hardly know yourself at that stage so it hasn't always been easy. Mind you I think they are both a lot more worldly than we were.
As for H&P - I am sure it will happen. They are both 'old-fashioned' and Paul is Mr Cautious but proper. They are a long-term commitment and as soon as Paul convinces Helen it's time to risk the stretch marks and have a baby, they'll set the date and wedding bells will follow. Helen is very good at getting what she wants, and she wants Mr Clarke!

No wedding for Big Brother star
Feb 21 2005
By The Evening Chronicle
Big Brother contestant Michelle Bass is not getting married to fellow housemate Stuart Wilson, according to her mum.
The pair were spotted shopping for rings in St Albans, Hertfordshire, where Michelle has been starring in pantomime.
But Loraine Bass dismissed the rumours, saying the couple had no plans to get hitched or start a family.
Speaking from her home in Dinnington, Newcastle, she said: "Michelle is definitely not pregnant.
"But I would be thrilled to bits if she was. I would be telling everybody.
"She is still with Stuart and they are still very lovey-dovey. They have no plans for an engagement at the moment. They are just happy being together and finding out about each other.
"Michelle has got a flat down there near London, but they are not living together at the moment."
Stuart, 21, and Michelle, 23, fell for each other in the Big Brother house seven months ago.
Her mum also revealed that Michelle, is trying to launch a singing career.
The Geordie former mortgage adviser has been in talks with agents and is determined to release a single. Loraine added: "She is quite a good singer and there have been one or two offers.
"The pantomime finished in February and since then she has done bits and pieces.
"She is starring on the Friday Night Project on Channel 4 and she has got other things lined up, but she doesn't like to tell us too much in case things don't come off.

Not even living together!!!!!!. Cynical old me thinks they are still milking the PR profit side of BB5.
Be them together for money or love good luck to them never the less.

I've read somewhere else that they are NOT sharing a home, but that Michelle has a place in St Albans and Stuart is a "long term guest".
As for the engagement business, no doubt there is some cash involved, but that is more a reason for the families to deny it so that they can sell the story. But someone couldn't resist blabbing to the Peep-Hole!
Still, when it comes to BB romances, the main concern is that they may just be pretending to have a relationship in order to get the cash. I'm happy that in Michelle and Stuart's case, as with Paul and Helen, not to mention Lee and Sophie (who I will now admit to misjudging badly -- sorry guys) the relationships are genuine. Whether they decide to take advantage is another matter...

This is the pointer to the article from the Peep-Hole:
Michelle Says I Stu (http://www.people.co.uk/tm_objectid=15210283&method=full&siteid=55768&headline=michelle-says-i-stu-name_page.html)
So who knows?

Oh I was looking forward to a good wedding!!!!:bawling:
I never took to Lee and Sophie!!!!. Lee is the most objectionable guy that's ever been on BB in my opinion. I remember watching them on the Sky One docu and thinking that they just didn't seem right together, and that he was just so arrogant.
Mind you they're still together so whatever!!!

I think the regional press has more authority than the Sunday tabloids.
This is not happening
There is no wedding

I didn't see the docu on Sky, but I saw them together on the final night of BB3, arriving, when they weren't aware any cameras were on them etc. They didn't look where each of them were when they got out of the people carrier or as they walked up the road. I know that seems a simple thing to judge them on, but I think it would be a natural thing to do when approaching something which would make anyone else nervous.
Also with a new intense relationship there is that wanting to just be sure they are close. I suppose they could be an odd couple for whom it just works. Dunno.

I nearly believed the story in the People - something I rarely do - because of the pictures that accompanied the story.
There were 4 or 5 piccies in the paper, clearly showing Michelle and Stuart looking extremely happy together, blatantly looking in shops that specialise in engagement rings.
I would love to hear their explanation as to why they were doing this, if they're not engaged, or have no plans to become engaged, haha!
I went to see Michelle in panto, and got speaking to a couple of the girls that work at the theatre. M and S do live together - they're always spotted in and around St. Albans.

Well it might all be back on. Quite a large hint at the ok offices could mean they are engaged. But i'm still not convinced. It would be nice though. I think they're soooo cute. How they managed to have a relationship in that house is beyond me!!!!!

I know exactly what you mean about the looking for each other.
Now who does that remind me of? LOL.
Seriously I do wonder what effect it will have on Michelle and Stuart if he goes back to uni after his gap year. As for her singing - all I can say is Pia Jesu (bring back Charlotte Church).
I too never liked Lee and could never see what Sophie saw in him. But then we can never chose each other's partners can we.
Anyway P&H cant get married yet cos I know for a fact that three very important guests have not yet bought their wedding outfits!!!

To be honest if they are getting married I should think it won't be for a while!!!!.
I think they'll be fine when Stu goes back to uni. I'm sure Mich will live up there and maybe she could study something too. I know she talked about it in the house.
I'm sure they can make it work and I know H&P will be next. That's if they want to get married!!!!:conf:

Oh Busybee I thought that she had a really lovely voice and BB was cruel for asking her to sing that song, Its for a opera singer for gods sake and if any of the others we doing the singing instead of Michelle I doubt very much if they would have been given that to sing. Lets be real about it BB knew what they were doing and in what role that they wanted each housemate to play and they edited the whole show to suit their agenda. Although I love Nadia I do feel that BB intended her to win and she was their choice from the start and anybody that was a threat to their plans was showed in a bad light through editing ie Michelle,Victor and Jason to some extent.
