Right. Massively obsessed now. I only recently downloaded their material - prior to which I only had heard Friday, I'm In Love, The Lovecats and Close To Me.
Any fans?

That was the song that first introduced me to the Cure. Loved the moment it was used in the flick.

Great song. But I'll never listen to it again
I always loved The Cure but I've developed this sick obsession with them since like January. I was going to make a thread but I thought I'd search first because a certain pretentious wanker with a review blog probably made one and hey presto .
I absoloutely adore how much of a double edged sword the band are. You have the doom and gloom stuff like Hanging Garden and Charlotte Sometimes and then Robert Smith can also write these incredible pop songs that he done almost to humour himself but that ended up becoming massive, massive hits.
Then they clash and you get Disintegration which is one of the most hopelessly uplifting albums ever yet sold like crazy.
Anyway yeah. The sex. Just ordered the Trilogy concert Blu Ray online. They are now #1 priority on my 'must see live before I die' list.

Loved the Cure. Remember going to a place in Glasgow when I was about 18 -20, called Vivas and Vamps - Vivas played all the new romantic stuff (Duran Duran, Spandau Ballet, etc) and Vamps played stuff from the Cure and related gendre.
They are fab. Used to have a real crush on the lead singer.:joker:
