WHY WOULD THEY FIX IT?!?!

It still astounds me that people think CH4 fix Big Brother.

The reason Ulrika and Rachel won was because other fans thought theyre favourite had it in the bag and didnt bother voting, wereas the underdogs fans were voting in droves....its as simple as that

I very much doubt it is consciously fixed, and certainly not by Channel 4.

However, whoever does the H/L show edit will be fans of the show and, as fans, will have their favourites. So we will inevitably end up with some sub-conscious bias as they feature their favourites in a more favourable light.

Exactly elliebrew. I remember after Susie won the Golden Ticket thing Davina brilliantly dismissed any accusations of "fix" by simply saying if they'd fixed it, they wouldn't have fixed it for Susie to win.

Its not the VOTING that they fix.

People believe that its fixed in a way that they edit the highlights so that you only see the good in some people and the bad in others. They try to fix it by their editing. Its illegal to fix the votes.

Shilpa final was fixed to look good after the Jade/Shilpa thing.

Ulrika final was fixed, yet again to look good after the whole "bully" bs thing.

Susie golden ticket win was already signed and paid for months before... Agents! It happens all the time in tv world, cut throat and money makes deals.

I do agree, that sometimes they may persuade veiwers via how BB is edited but, msot of the time its the hosuemates themselves that give us a perception of them. Not Editors.

I've always wondered - are the voting stats available somewhere so that the whole voting system is transparent - I would love to be able to see exactly how many votes people received prior to eviction / winning etc - that would be a sure way to clear it all up (as long as it was done/monitored by someone independent of C4/Endemol of course :) ) - anyone know if that kind of data is available for BB?

After the voting scandals of 08 it would be hard to belive that anyone would fix anything anymore.
