She sailed down the River Thames and past my flat today at approximately 11am before docking at Greenwich.
If anyone around London is interested, there will then be a flypast of every current Front Line helicopter type passing up the Thames over HMS Illustrious tomorrow at noon.
From Thur-Sun there will be static aircraft displays in Greenwich Old Naval College.
On Sat & Sun at 2pm, there will be helicopter displays over the river by the College.
It's all part of the Fly 100 events to commemorate the Royal Navy’s first “airship”,

Just been to watch the fly by. About 18 helicopters came in from the distance slowly with their lights on. Was an amazing sight seeing them come in all at once. Then there was a couple of plane formations. Then it was all over in 10 mins. There were hundreds/thousands of people lining the river on both sides. Was cool to go and see.

I got a bit of video on my phone but it was hard to see as they were directly overhead. The 4 helicopters that took off from the ship this morning have just flown past my living room doors and re-landed on it. I got an excellent view. Better than from the river. They were really close.

The Big question is: Does it still fit?

Wow. That was unexpected. There was just a huge spectacular firework display. It was so loud it was setting car alarms off. And we could hear the brass band playing. Amazing!
