Nah there wasn't. There was supposed to be a second one. Called Beetlejuice Goes Hawaiian. It was going to be about the Deetz(?) family moving to Hawaii and being haunted by Kahuna (an hawaiian god or something lol), Beetlejuice would save them lol. It was supposed to come out in 1990, the original cast agreed to return if Tim Burton directed, but he did other things and it never happened :sad:

But Michael Keaton said that if there was a sequel, he'd return. There was also an idea for a "Beetlejuice In Love" movie...which sounds awful :shocked:

I think it'd go crazy looool! This may sound stupid, but i know they'd try and make Beetlejuice a "hero" if they made a sequel...and he was so bad in the first one, that's why i like it lol. I think they should just leave it and get their own ideas looool.

There were rumours around that Johnny Depp was going to play Beetlejuice last year...not 100% sure if it was confirmed though...

Exactly! I hate it when movies do that! It's just like basically saying that yeah everything you were lead to believe in the first movie was wrong. Stupid.
Hmm..Johnny Depp is good at playing eccentric characters, so I'd say he'd be good..and no doubt Helena Bonham Carter would be in it. She, Johnny and Tim seem to be a wee circle of friends when it comes to movies now.
Well, the movie came out in 1988, which would have meant last year was its 20th anniversary? I thought they would have celebrated it in some way? :S Maybe they are waiting until they hit the 25 mark?
