View Full Version : The Official Start to my GCSEs
Hii!
Well, my GCSEs officially start tomorrow. Technically they started last week with the orals etc, but tomorrow are my first written papers: Additional Maths and RE. I'm not as nervous as I thought I would be, but come tomorrow I will be shaking like a leaf. Any advice?
Just take deep breaths, eat a mars bar before you go in and chill, nerves help no one.
Oooh! How'd it go?
EDIT: Thanks Fom! My friend has these relaxing pastilles and tongue droplets thing which supposedly help you to calm down. I'm just afraid of getting high! LOL.

Eat banana's for breakfast. Help your brain and realise steady amounts of energy throughout the day
Hey everybody! :D lol.
Well..
they went okay.
I cried when I came home though, cuz I didn't get either finished.
I didn't get to the last 3 questions (8 marks) in my Add Maths paper and the last one in my RE paper, which was a big mad 10 mark one. I was really upset earlier about RE, but my mum reminded me I still have another paper to do, plus my coursework, so I feel better now. But I'm still angry at myself for being so darn slow! I need to quicken up for the next ones! That one in RE was really random anyways. It was like "Three churches are considering coming together to worship. Do you think this is a good idea?"
Uhhhh...
How did everyone else's go?!

I just thought you were ages agoo
Just done my RE today.
I was shaking so much, my legs felt really heavy as I was walking up to school and as I was walking round to my exam room.
I was VERY nervous, as I need to do amazing as I want to do it for A-Level.
I found it suprisingly easy.. LOL
I'm a smartie and worked out a system, I was looking at past papers, so I went right back to 2003, then I looked at 2008 and the majority of questions were very similar on each paper, so I studied like hell off the 2004 paper (as well as my notes and everything) in hope that it would be like me actual exam... AND IT WAS. Hahaha. I was so happy.
So anyone doing CHRISTIAN LIFE and had done MARK'S GOSPEL, go on the AQA website and look at the 2004 paper. But don't forget to actually study and don't rely on it, because it may have just been a coincidence.

Aww, its good you found it easy . It was pretty good for me too. I was looking at past papers in the lesson before and some of the questions actually came up on the exam so i was happy about that.
