No!! I would feel upset watching him!!! Plus if he was evicted no one would be able to tell him! x

Saying something like 'How would they talk to him in the diary room?' is like saying 'How could they show a blind person where the diary room is?'. Look, we had a blind housemate last year and he lasted the whole 13 weeks in the Big Brother house with no problems.

Housemates could still communicate easily with a blind person though. They can't with a deaf person - there would need to be a housemate that knows sign language to pass on messages, and what if they were evicted? Not to mention that I wouldn't want candidates to be picked for the show purely because they know sign language - and having a dedicated translator in the house would break rules about contact with the outside world.
It's one thing having disabled housemates, but its another having one that would cause the rules of the show to be broken.

I think that deaf pople should have the oppotunity to be on Big Brother because its never been done before and its somthing different and it will be interesting to see how deaf people get on with the other housemates in the house and also we should respect diversrty and give people with special needs like myself equal oppotunitys. In the diary room the production team should speak to that house mate and together adress any communication difficulties

I think he should be given the opportunity but in the same aspect they have to work out how it will be possible

As much as I am against discrimenation, sometimes even though it's good thing. not everything can occur without some thoughts on HOW to do it.

I think it would be interesting, I was deaf as a child and I think it would probably be rather enlightening for some people like Mikey was for people who have never encountered blindness.
Practically though it would be very challenging though. If the housemate is a good one and is entertaining then I don't see why not.

'Normal' people? ........
I'm not gonna even bother.
I hated the blind idea and I hate the deaf idea, nothing against people who are blind and deaf but I don't find it entertaining watching it, so much was ruined last year by them being all careful with Mikey.

I understand it may be difficult to have a deaf housemate around but I don't see why he shouldn't be allowed into the house just because he's deaf.

That IS true, however without being able to hear anything, it'd be a helluva tough time. I think the whole concept of the game would have to be changed for a deaf housemate. I'd like to see one, but only if they could work out the kinks to fulfill it.
