Just been pokng around the net, and it seems that Star Trek 2 is being written right now.
I know Wikipedia isnt the best for reliability but there is citations.

A new movie, simply titled Star Trek, was released in May 2009. The film's major cast members have signed on for two sequels, which is standard practice.Roberto Orci, Alex Kurtzman and Damon Lindelof began writing the script for a sequel in March 2009, with the hope to complete it by December and produce the film for a mid-2011 release. J.J. Abrams and Bryan Burk will produce, although Abrams has not signed to direct again. He explained with the alternate reality set up in Star Trek, it would be "ridiculous to not be open" to ideas like resurrecting William Shatner's James T. Kirk or recasting Khan Noonien Singh. "The idea, now that we are in an independent timeline, allows us to use any of the ingredients from the past — or come up with brand-new ones — to make potential stories," he said.
I cannot wait for this film. If its as good as the new one!!

You'll probably be in for a wait, I can't see it being done until 2011 at the very least is it's a rushed production. 2012/13 is a safe bet for a new one.

Apparently the script is done and shooting begins in August, I reckon that it will be released as next summer's blockbuster

Actually that was one of the best of the original ones.

I enjoyed the re-cast Star Trek though I wasn't a huge fan of JJ Abrams shaky camera-work and lens flare.

Sisko was okay, but Picard is too legendary for words

I hate Star Trek, my dad watches them all the time. I will say that Picard & Janeway> all though.

I liked the reboot though surprisingly enough.

It was a brilliant way to reboot, as it doesn't cancel out the old series, it still there in the new series, providing a history

I don't have Blu-Ray. :S I wonder why it has a 12 certificate, wouldn't have thought it more than a PG. Maybe something in the extras?
