Do you think BB10 will be another failure?

Only calling it a failure because most people found BB8 & BB9 s***

If they start it right and get the right momentum, I think it could restore some of what BB used to have so many viewers for, so no.

I don't think its going to fail ... then again I never thought BB9 or Celeb BB would fail :joker:

BB10 is pretty critical though ... I think an official series average of about 3.5m or above can be seen as a success

I think it'll fail if all of us fans going into it have a negative and pessimistic attitude.

It's going to be right off the scale. I don't think there will ever be another series of BB on C4 after this forthcoming one. The show simply cannot and will not survive without the live feed - however unimportant some might think it is.

The buzz created by the constant updates from the house as they happened are what have driven the forums and media for the past nine years. CBB6 without the live feed was dead...and BB10 will be too, only more so as it lasts four times longer.

This forum is actually quite positive and looking forward to it, its that lot over on DS with their own self importance over the live feed who aren't looking forward to it

I do wonder why people who say they aren't looking forward to it bother to stick around

I am going to watch, Im excited but Im still VERY annoyed at the LF, it was entertaining, some people may agree, the whole show was to watch the HMs 24/7 so they ruined that part, but forget about that for the moment and i will just try and enjoy it.

Unfortunatly yes for 2 reasons....

1) Hardly ANYONE Knows about the launch date this year which is very very bad! Basically the only people who know about the launch on 4th of June is on TiBB!

2) Getting rid of live feed is the worst thing possible, sad thing is C4 wont even relize this is why BB10 wont have viewers they will think the show is dead when really people just want Live Feed back and then they can have the old BB ratings.
Which is why they wont bother with live, Big Brother deserves more than Channel 4 They should move to a new channel, a Channel that would put Live Feed On All Day Long!!!

Big Brother 9 WAS NOT a bad series, BB8 Was the worst.
BB9 Was very very good IMO

And they havent even been advertising BB10 apart from Eye Flashes like I Said Hardly anyone knows about the Launch night anymore which is extremley bad because Launch night is the most important for ratings because it ussually shows how well the show will do.

Well if people think BB8 and 9 Were crap... then maybe "3rd time lucky" for BB10 :xyxwave:

That's because it hasn't been confirmed yet. As soon as Channel 4 confirm the launch date they'll run promos for the launch.

C4 only release their schedules two weeks in advance.

To be fair, in ratings terms, BB is still a success for Channel 4. 3 million every night is still much more than they would otherwise get.

I see no reason why it will be a failure, every season is new.

I would be hugely surprised if they averaged that during BB10.

I wish I could share that optimism. But I'm always convinced the current series will be poor LOL

It could easily flop or it could easily be the best yet. It depends if the producers want to get thier fingers out and start thinking of new ways to make the show better.

Hmm ... I'm not so sure. I think BB9 was easily on par with some of the better series' like BB3 and BB7 ... but the public just aren't behind the show anymore.

I don't find any season as a fail. Seasons may not compare to others, but it's just a stage of the show growing up with time. People live in the past, even I do, but in the end, it's growing, and it' not going to ever satisfy everyone.

Agreed... BB's in recent years have just not had that spark, like BB2,3,5 did
I hope this one is a success

THe figures are gonna be ridiculously low. LOL! Of course they are. CBB6 was a preview of that. At least that was celebrities and just 3 weeks, so people could just watch it as some dumb phony show. BUt the real BB without LF, is gonna get horrible ratings this year for sure. But I dont think they care, because the show is gonna be cancelled within a year or 2.

People keep calling me a pessimist. I can't imagine why I'm not confident of BB10's success. Let's take a look at...

No live feed. Obviously the final nail in the show's coffin as it can't exist without the LF. Endemol are incensed that C4 are taking such ridiculous liberties with the format. No LF=not BB any more.

No Russell. An obscure little spinoff show - seen as Little Brother's illegitimate offspring - turned from dull Q&A panel malarkey into a brilliantly funny, unmissable platform for RB's antics. Big Mouth was widely regarded as the best part of the BB experience during BB6, CBB4 and BB7. Since Russell left, the show has become a painful showcase for the terminally untalented. Despite viewing figures well below that of the live feed, inexplicably it hasn't been axed. What a waste of money.

No Dermot. OK, he was more cheesy than David Dickinson at a cheese convention in Cheeseborough, but he loved the show and brought an infectious enthusiasm to the proceedings. His replacement...the utterly appalling Zezi, and the coma inducingly laid back George 'frozen' Lamb. Horrifically unwatchable drivel now, and another waste of money that should have been axed. Guests are so low end these days that I understand even Jodie Marsh turned down the chance to appear

Davina still there. Gurn! I'm totally bored but I don't have another job. Gurn! Superb presenter from BB1-5, now long past her sell by date and just one more expensive millstone round BBUK's neck.

The Shilpagate effect. Ever since CBB5, the producers are terrified of anything bad happening. As a result they brought us the almost unbelievably tedious BB8, the marginal Celeb Hijack, the series won by the dullest person in the western world and contractual obligation celeb pay day back in January. There is no spark. Nothing controversial happens without a huge overreaction on the part of the producers. So Dennis got in Mo's face - so what? Even if he'd had a slash in his afro, he should still not have been removed. Action is what the viewers want, most of them. Channel 4 has lost its balls and its spine.

Burn out. They've had the transsexual one, the mentally ill one, the Tourette's one, the blind one, the albino one etc etc. Wall to wall z-list wannabes and silicone boobed mag deal chasers. Intelligent HMs are very thin on the ground. People there for the experience are now almost nonexistent.

Constant tinkering and fixing. The shameful rigging to keep Charley in BB8, for example. C4 won't let things naturally take their course any longer and many viewers got so sick of it they just stopped watching.

Contempt for the viewers. C4 refuse to listen to the very people who made BB such a money spinner for them for so long. They have lied blatantly over the live feed fiasco.

Could probably bang on all day, but you get the picture

^ Can you please reply to the very valid posts I made on the other thread regarding live feed.

Or are you incapable of supporting your argument against my very strong one?

I know u dont mean any harm DoubleTrouble but My theory is threads that criticize and give Big Brother Negative advertising dont do it any justice. As I think People will also see BB in the same light. When we dont want it to be negativley advertised..

I know u dont mean it to be as i saw ur small print! haha... :D

it has the potental to be a good series, the fact that we have very little info on the show this year would suggessed that they are attemping to get that excitment back from the early series, i think it will start low in the ratings at first, but channel for will step up there game and get people talking about it again
