Preliminary Channel 4 schedules suggest that a live show may take place on June 5th, one day after Big Brother 10 supposedly launches. bbspy has today investigated Channel 4 schedules for the week beginning June 1st, and uncovered some scheduling clues for the new series of the show. As it has been widely reported in the media, it looks like BB10 will begin on Thursday June 4th. There is an open slot on the date between 9.00pm and 10.35pm currently marked ‘TBA’, in which a 90-minute launch show could air. In addition to this, there are two currently empty late-night slots (1.30am-2.30am and 2.30am-4.05am) on Friday 5th June that could contain overnight live streaming, and there is another 90-minute gap between 8.00am and 9.30am, which could accommodate a repeat of the launch show. Interestingly, later on, there are another two slots free (9.00pm-10.00pm and 10.30pm-11.00pm), seperated by the first in a new run of 8 Out Of 10 Cats. This suggests two things: * A live show may air on June 5th, possibly only a day after the launch show * Evictions will fill these timeslots, keeping the same scheduling as they did last year Does this mean that producers have something up their sleeves - an early eviction or twist perhaps? More details about the launch week scheduling are expected later this week.

That's from BBspy. Where are they getting the listings from?

OMG
What complete crap with the eviction ONE day after the launch...

"Hi how are you? My Names Bob :)"
"Bob you have been evicted!!"

It will be like last year were Stephanie left because of a stupid task.
I dont care what task they do for launch night as long as no fitt girls go again

I only want to know where they're seeing the listings.

Probably another housemate sent to mix things up.

Like new signature, go to 10.0!

They're publicly available if you know where to look.

I only seek radiotimes and channel 4 itself.

We'll find out what is happening tomorrow when the listings are confirmed

I'm hoping for a major twist on that Friday

It might be a suitcase task or if they're really changing the format as they keep saying in the press then maybe it is the first HOH

Just as long as it isn't "more highlights from the house", and then something for 5 minutes at the end.

If its the hour, break then half an hour like the article suggests then it might use the usual format with Davina doing highlight links (but probably from the studio- it would fill up more time if not much happens on the first night too) then the second part, what would be the interview, being the task.

And as daft as it sounds, 10.30pm-11.00pm will be much better than 10.35pm-11.10pm. Firstly it isn't as unecessarily long and its on at rounded times so won't feel drawn out. Evictions can also be closer to live, probably on a 10 minute delay rather than half an hour.

Doesn't sound daft at all Tom - I completely agree.

Re: the live show. Recent history shows that generally if a second live show is scheduled the actual twist often doesn't play out until the second half of it. Personally I think not only should the second show be completely devoted to any twist, but it should begin in some form at the end of the first - even if it's just teasing the HMs about something, which IIRC they did during BB8 with the £100,000 twist - they just flashed it up on screen at the end of the first show.

I wouldn't be surprised if we had a 2 day long launch show lol, surely 90 mins isn't enough time to get 16 housemates in, I recon that you would need at the least 105 mins based on 3 housemate entering every 15 mins

I'm hoping it's some kind of twist to be honest. Somehow I doubt they'd have an eviction after just 24 hours in the house.

As much as you risk losing potentially a very good HM, I'd actually think at this point in time an eviction (and a real one) on day 2 (or even day 1) would be a very good move and show both the viewer and the HMs that Big Brother means business this year.

NO, I'd have to disagree.

We need to get to know the housemates properly before evictions. If anything, there shouldn't even be an eviction in week 1.

I'd usually agree with you, but sometimes the best thing for the show is for Big Brother to do the things it shouldn't be doing.

That's why BB5 worked so well - up until then all twists had been pretty much within the original rules. For BB5, they started breaking those rules (i.e. fake evictions - I know we're tired of them now, but that was a massive shake up back then). Similarly Celebrity Hijack broke fundamental rules such as "no contact with the outside world" - yet they got away with it because it made for a better show.
