"Television presenter Esther Rantzen says she is "sick" of the MPs' expenses scandal and may stand for Parliament.
Her plan is to stand against the Labour MP Margaret Moran who claimed £22,500 treating dry rot at her second home - 100 miles from her constituency.
Ms Rantzen said Mrs Moran's claims had made her "angry" and said she will stand as an independent against her"

Public services will be crap under the Tories as they want to cut taxes for rich people because apparently the poor aren't deserving of help. They roughly want to cut £21 billion.

So if you could pay less tax you'd be happy to have **** public services, meaning basically Britain would be taking a step backwards into worse health care, worse waste management, worse energy/water facilities, worse police/fire etc .... ?

And do you agree that rich people should be able to sit comfortably on a big pile of money whilst there are honest decent hard working people who fail to make ends meet and end up getting into even more debt just to clear existing debts, sometimes to the point they go without getting new food in each week? That even happens now ... it would be even worse under the Tories.

New Labour have done a lot of good for the country (as well as lately a lot of bad) ... and generally some of the good things benefit everyone. With Conservative policies, they only benefit middle and upper classes. Why is excluding (theoretically) a third of the country a good move? And the sad thing is, a lot of lower class people will vote for the Conservatives.
