Hey all,

I am a journalist who will be working throughout Big Brother to bring you the latest news through the national newspapers and magazines.

Basically I get paid to watch BB every day and send stories out to each of the tabloid papers to make sure everyone knows what is going on in TV's favourite house.

This is the third series I will have been working on full time and I am looking for inspiration from you, the fans of the show, for how to liven up the coverage this year.

Basically I am looking for any ideas or suggestions to improve the stories you read in your paper each morning (We cover it for the Sun, Mirror, Star, Daily Record, Daily Sport, Evening Standard - even the Daily Express and Daily Mail if they are interested).

To get you started some people have already said they would like a better text-update service, possibly a sort of radio version of the main evening show with audio snippets for people who can't catch the TV or a phone line for people to call with new stories and sound clips, updated each morning.

If you have any ideas or suggestions I would be everso grateful and do my best to try and get them in place for the big kick-off on May 27.

Thanks for your time

Alex

hi, i have always thought that having a radio update would be a good thing. They sometimes mention it in the hourly news bulitens but i think they should have like a 5/10 mins show @ maybe 6pm now because bblb isn't in! Also in the papers i think there should be a popularity chart. The public have to vote for theri favourite and the paper prints the chart everyday with the number of votes! Any thoughts on that?

yeah the popularity chart sounds good...

also i think the public should get to choose what luxuries they should have or any music entering the house via speaker should be decided by us - the public.

think how much money they would make off it..

also i think the housemates should have more use of the tele in this years big brother.. do a public vote on that. :)

choice on dvd's perhaps?

it depends what theme they are having for BB6 whether they are allowed
luxeries like dvds. The popularity poll is a good idea though

Ditto

Can we have verification that you are who you say you are and not a wind up merchant.

Usual protocols establish contact with the moderators and satisfy them you are the real deal.

It should be worth noting that people have tried it on here before :nono:

Well Alex, if you want to know what a journalist needs to do to improve the stories we read in the papers then here’s a novel idea; you could always tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

Now there’s a thought, the papers telling the truth.
