In general I mean. Not one specific situation. When you look around you do you feel that both genders are being treated equally or one had advantages over the other? If you feel that way, state your reasons!

in certain parts of the world yes but i dont think so in the uk well certainly not compared to how it used to be

The UK isn't, but obviously there are some areas (the Middle East, Russia...) where it's unfair.

Russia made a lot of efforts you know. It's not the same as it was 30 years ago (according to my father) because women have started to get more freedom, they're getting proper jobs.
But I agree, it's still very narrow-minded in some parts of the society.

Secondly.. In the UK, people can be sexist against men and against women, which balances things out... so yes, sexism is alive and well, but I wouldn't say either gender is particularly oppressed..

Yes the world naturally is sexist towards women...

but the uk only changed radically in the 1900's. and even up to the 70's women where paid less than men, because they where women!

it may change, but then again it may not!

Haha I know, that's why I mentioned it. But I agree Rémy, it's not like it's all Russians, just some aspects. There's sexists everywhere really.

There is sexism everywhere. I'm not trying to defend my country (out of 3 lol), yes it is still very sexist and narrow-minded about some points but I'm glad it's one of these countries who made such efforts.

Yes, not so much here though. My spainish teacher made a very sexist remark one day. I nearly shot hm in the head.
