Stephanie: 'BB is all about the fame'

Stephanie McMichael has defended Big Brother stars who stay in the spotlight after leaving the house.

The 20-year-old model, who was the first to be evicted on last year's series, insisted that a desire for fame and magazine deals is natural for reality TV contestants.

Speaking to Take 5 magazine, McMichael explained: "I can't stand people who go on BB and say: 'It's not about the fame'. It is! If you don't want to be famous, don't go on reality TV.

"It isn't about the experience. Who would choose to live in a house with a load of mad strangers? No one is just 'themselves' either. You have to exaggerate your personality to get on BB. But you can't fake it either."

On her own achievements, she revealed: "I made around £100,000 from interviews afterwards. I have no problem posing in my undies, although I'd never go topless."

The new series of Big Brother kicks off on June 4 on Channel 4.

What an attention seeker.
I remember her saying she wants to be the biggest BB star and I loved her face when she learnt she was evicted...priceless.

I don't agree with that statement anyway. People do it for fame, OK, fact. But not all of them. Some did it for the experiment and some for personal issues (Nadia for example).

I know I wouldn't do it for the fame, I'm fine the way I am, I wouldn't refuse any offers if I get any but I certainly wouldn't look after them. Big Brother is something I've always wanted to do because I want to see how I would react in a closed environment with no contact with the outside world. And I'm sure I'm not the only one in this situation.

Well thats not true, saying people dont do it for an experience, and that they wouldnt want to go into a house with other people.
Thats what I would actually go into the house for. Cos I think it would be a good experience, lots of fun. And if she didn't go in the house for that then was she planning on having a really bad time?
