Will a non working class person ever win Big Brother?

Have the public got something against people from more privileged backgrounds?

No for the simple reason that not many non-working class people apply for BB and not many non-working class people vote or watch BB.

With you mentioning Will Young and Pop Idol, that's a 'talent' show so there was reason for people to vote for him. I voted for him and I'm working class, he definately was the best of the contest!

As for BB, I do think that the majority of voters are working-class and with the 'upper class' housemates usually coming off badly (Belinda, Grace, Suzie, Lynne etc) with the rare exceptions (Derek, Jonty), they are more likely to be swayed towards people who, as someone said, they can relate to.

you're getting confused with the upper and middle classes. I doubt anyone upper class would ever go on bb..

To be honest I think you are completely wrong on this one. A lot of nutters, vagabonds and freaks apply for Big Brother. Anything but working class.

By working class do you mean anyone who isn't upper class? When I think of working class I usually think of someone who spends a lot of time working, rather than, say, a person who doesn't work but just spends hardly anything and struggles to get by.
