Just wondering... I had a different name on there since BB1 but, I noticed upon going there this week that they'd been removed which I have to say P'd me off to no end.

But that being said, it's removal has led me to find this place which I'm shocked I did not know of before and am very glad to be here! :thumbs2:

But I was just wondering if anyone else went there, as well as here or has, like me, come over here now they've been removed?!

I was on C4 forums!!!

I hate the stupid gits at Channel 4 for closing it down. But I suppose this is a good forum to relocate to :hello:

Hey President! Was that your name on there too?

I only ever frequented the BB/CBB forums around the times the shows were on, I must confess and you probably wouldn't know me although I'd been there since the first and had many little and big gold stars around my name! (LOL!)

My SN on there was "Dean0Mac" - Although again probably wouldn't recall

But MonkeyKing, that only started last yr (or possibly later in the series of the yr before) and yeah it did become a bit disturbing w/ the trolls and such.

The C4 forum was ridiculously censored parp, mostly populated by 13 year olds who constantly spouted txt spk omglolz! But it was home to a lot of fans and Channel 4 were disgraceful in closing the place (not to mention claiming it cost 'hundreds of thousands of pounds' to maintain). Either C4 are really wasteful with their resources, or they lie.

They claimed it cost hundreds of thousands of pounds to main the forums? What absolute BS lol.

I used to run forums for something slightly different (Music/Dance) and it was run on a proper domain/server etc it cost me less than £500 a freakin year.... Along with a professionally made website which was constantly updated (I'm talking at least 10x a day).

Lol Ive ran a forum before cost me 250€ for a year

I dont see how their forums costed so much because with ads and hits it starts to praticaly cover its own costs. And if not you put very little to it yourself

Hi,

Nah my name wasn't president. It was jollywood.

I can't remember you.

It used to be a great forum, but last year it was censored laods and CBB6 was rubbish because of that Hot Topics shite.

Agreed mos' def'...

I made a lot of E-Friends on those forums including one person named "Queenie/Queeny" I believe, do you recall?

I can't for the life of me remember a lot of names, which I would the moment I saw them online but yeah... It's sad to see it gone lol

DS is free if you have a non Hotmail/Yahoo/Google email address.

I think this forum is more aimed at kids/teens. DS is where the adults are, which I suppose I would prefer.

Get an email from aol.com or aol.co.uk. No fiver required then!

I used to enjoy the C4/BB Forum,it could be crazy at times.
I tried logging on there a week or so ago for my 'pre BB warm-up'.
So I was a sorry to see it no longer existed.Let's hope this site is as good when the show has started.

It's not the hosting that cost the money it was the software and the moderation.

The C4 forums were remoted hosted, managed and moderated by full time 3rd party companies which would cost thousands each year. Comparing it to a forum you run in your spare time is silly.
