Want to find out what the Big Brother 10 launch twist will be? Look no further - you can find out here…

Tonight, 16 new contestants, 8 men and 8 women, will enter the Big Brother house for the very first time. Each of them has a plan to entertain us over the summer months and leave the house victorious (and £100,000 richer).

All that Big Brother is revealing about them for now is they are the most diverse line-up ever, coming from a wide range of countries and backgrounds. The eldest contestant is 40, whilst the youngest is 18.

However, what they don’t know is that they won’t be official housemates and they won’t have full access to the Big Brother house.

Over the next three days, the hopefuls will have to individually earn their housemate status by completing tasks that have been designed to challenge their fears and pride.

Some challenges will require individuals to go head to head in an attempt to become bona fide housemates.

Only once the hopefuls have been granted housemate status will they allowed access to the ‘real’ house.

Until then, they can only access the living room (which is void of all creature comforts), a toilet and the garden. They will not be allowed their suitcases and must sleep on the living room floor.

There is also an outdoor bath, which can be filled by carrying cold water in a hole-ridden bucket across the garden.

Sharon Powers, BB10’s executive producer, said: “After ten years, we are trying to come up with ways of surprising viewers and housemates.”
