Hi guys, as this is some of your first year on TiBB just a few pointers for tonight.

The forum will get super busy this evening, busier than you've ever seen it before. Our new server we were moved to last week hasn't really been tested over 400 people online yet, so it should be fun. I think we will be ok, as the new server was an upgrade to what we had before, but incase it starts to go slow we have made sure a few things are in place:

1) If the server load gets too high, only registered members will be able to view the forum. Guests will get a message saying they have to register to read the posts. This is to prioritise the server to people who are signed up and contribute than those who lurk.

2) The search might be unavailable during high periods of traffic.

3) In an extreme case (not going to happen ) we might take things like avatars/sigs/u2u's off during the hour of mad traffic.

I'm pretty confident we will be fine for the evening. If the server does crash it usually gives an error about config not being set correctly.. that's just a message for James and I to restart the database. If this message appears it shouldn't take less than a minute for us to get it back.

This only applys to launch night and finale night really, as those peaks of traffic are much higher than a normal BB night.

Please try and be aware of duplicate posts also.. Have a quick look in Today's Posts before posting to make sure there aren't already 3 threads on "first impressions on [contestant]" before you make another one for example.

So yeah, enjoy launch night - and let's test this server's capacity !

False.

It's turned off periodically, but it's not permanently off.

Oh Mark, and just when I thought you couldn't reach lower levels of fail, you go and prove me wrong.

A) There are just some people who shouldn't use Blair gifs.

B) It's been altered. No one changes a Blair gif like that. It's like, against the rules of the internet.

Oh I see the Football thread was re-opened. How was I sure that that would happen and the Britney thread wouldn't?

End your noise; I'm sure it'll get re-opened when the spam's removed from it. Sheesh, it's launch night, the mods are busy.

Busy enough to re-open the Football thread which was filled with worser spam than ours.

If you can call ours 'spam'
