I got it today, it isnt actually that good. Its very slow when creating a sim and I found that it takes a lot longer to get around than the previous ones. I feel like I just wasted £35

When Building a house I really dont like how they have categorized objects and things.. Liked the original Sims 2 layout

I liked the original layout too. I dont like how when you are buying furniture, it has like a living room and it looks like a living room and you click on the things. Mainly cos I NEVER buy lights! Haha

My little brother got it today as well and he text me when I was at work!
His sim was a criminal and his apsiration was to be the best bad boy kinda thing. And he went into the neighbours house and stole their TV!! My brother text me like "how much better does this get?!" lol
One night I do like is doing the Sims make up.

Yeah I always thought it SOUNDED better than Sims 2 but I really dont think it is. Also you cant see their mood thing to see when they are hungry etc. Or if you can, I didnt find it after 10mins looking.. :sad:

Most game shops. £29.99 only on HMV online. And dont be put off. I am just very hard to please, my brother loves it though.

My dad came in this morning VERY secretive and woke me up to give me it.. I was like UMMMGG - Runs up stairs to get Laptop - then I tried and it made my laptop all slow when I put the disk in... now it keeps going.. KHDKJSHFJH NO.
My dad promised to look at it after work... so I have to wait until tomorrow morning.

Like it, but I hate the way you can only play with one family, like I lost my origonal one when I made a new one, was awful :sad:, and I think there's like too many things like moodlets, these widh things etc. and I get awful confused..and it's SO hard to get promoted D=
And Annie, the mood thing is the wee head along that pannel with their work, oppertunities and all that jazz.

Getting a new computer this week, ordered and should come by Friday. I bought the game today and tried it on my laptop but was VERY slow and lagged alot, but my laptop is OLD. So I didn't play much and I'll wait till my new computer.

My laptop isnt even a year old and was VERY slow. which is odd because my sims 2 is super fast. Does anyone know why its running so slow?

Annie, you have to check your laptop's specs and compare it to The Sims 3 system requirements. It might simply be because your laptop's hardware isn't good enough to run the game. Try playing the game on the lowest possible graphics settings and see if that improves.

I'm not even going to bother with The Sims 3. My computer will die trying to run it. I will just have to stick with The Sims 2. :)

I got mine on friday.
I actually find it runs a lot smoother and faster then the Sims 2.
It took me awhile to get use to all the new changes but now I love it!

I've just got my new laptop today, Slight early birthday pressie (b/days tomorrow), and i'll be getting sims 3 tomorrow on my birthday so i'm really looking forward to it.

The game really isnt as good as it was hyped up to be, they tryed to hard the graphics are ****en ****, The Sims 2 was far better alot of people on the Sims forums like me, arent even gona bother with TS3 were sticken with number 2, far easier

It's really difficult to take pictures on the sims 3, I takes me longer to get my sim in frame then take the picture.

One tidbit what i adored was when i went to the spa, the old sims 1 music was playing, such nostalgia.

I had my sim adopt a female baby and she turned out to be fat, clumsy, heavy sleeper and easily impressed. My sims other daughter is a vegetarian, and i bought the cookie recipe from the store and when i go on the sims next, i'll get her to make the family some cookies.

oh and i hate that they took memories out, i hope they put them back in when they do the first EP.

Story Progression sucks too, Bella, Morty, Kaylynn, all the people i had plans for have grown up in adults and its way too late to do all i plans i had :( I hope EA release a patch to fix the toggle on story progression, I'm so not switching families until a patch comes out and fixes that issue.
