View Full Version : 5.1m watch launch
I know theres a ratings thread but I thought this deserved a thread of its own ... I think it got off to a strong start and just as expected considering the CBB failure and the poor advertising this year
Big Mouth got 0.6m

Wouldn't go that far
Its still the least watched "live" launch ever, just not as bad as people were expecting ...

So after week 1, the ratings will fall and here we go for another flop.

Where has all your negativity suddenly come from? You used to ALWAYS defend the show ...

Shhh! If they don't hear you it won't come true!!
I think its better than what I was expecting giving the lack of lasting publicity if only 2m walk away from this then that would be BRILLIANT!

I always defend the show when there is something to defend. The Launch was amazing, best one since BB5 but I'm realistic and I'm quite scared it won't attract more viewers.

That's shocking! It wasn't even up against anything. BBBM figures are even worse. Time to go dig up the ratings thread.

5.1 for BB is quite good. Why can't BB get ratings like BGT?

No I wouldn't say so. Normal BB's tend to be more consistent ratings wise. It'll stick around the 3 million range I reckon with occasional dips below on saturday nights.

It won't and its nothing to do with the production. BBUK has had its day as a mainstream show, thats all. All shows grow and grow until they reach a point where the ratings tumble and sadly BB is beyond that point.
I predicted the launch spot on (apart from a little change last night but still ) so if I'm right again then I predict it will officially average somewhere between 3.3m and 3.5m if they play it right. What you need to remember is that the figures are higher than BB9 final ratings ... so its held on to all of the BB9 viewers. There were just less casual viewers this year.

5.1 M ratings for channel 4 is really good!
yes it the 3rd lowest launch show but who cares its still good figures!
People need to be a bit more optermistic! Boo to the negativity!
Considering everythang, well done BB! :D I really hope it climbs this year. It probably won't, but there's no harm in hoping! :)

The all important 16-34's were up over 100,000 on BB9's launch so not all bad
The good thing is that the housemates are a diverse group so they have the potential to turn BB around
The ratings are okay and as expected but the mixed reviews on the launch night wont help the next few days ratings

Let's face it, the show lost its whole idea/concept about it being a social experiment.

Wasn't that lost around 5 years ago?
