Why?

Were more entertaining than some of the british they get on there!

They need more irish housemates deffenatly, and I hate how some people in England/Scotland and Whales comeplain that BB10 Is beging fulled with people from other countries and used Noirin as an example because shes irish, well Its Big Brother UK And Ireland.
Shows how much they know, its only across the water yet there acting like Noirin shouldnt be on because she ient from England.

Again, I don't really care.
I watch BB because it is for the UK. The housemates obviously ake BB what it is, I don't think a person from Ireland would make a difference to a show that has already went downhill... make it worse, probably.

Yeah I agree. There hasn't been enough Irish people since it began.
But I don't really mind because I absolutely hate listening to the accent!
But I think Noirin represents us very well, she's intelligent, pretty, respectable and has a good job, that's mainly why I like her.

Whereas Spiral was just a bit of an eejit and didn't really do much justice for Ireland IMO. :conf2:
And I didn't watch the series with Anna Nolan.

More Irish housemates would have helped a great deal over the years I think. And Channel 4's lazyness in not re-introducing the Irish vote for this series is a disgrace. I am sure that if the same thing had happened the Welsh, they would be up in arms about it.

Spiral was a cool guy.

Noirin is amazingly gorgeous.

I like both, I like the accent to.

Irish people are usually nice and down to earth! That dont make good housemates!

It doesn't matter where the housemate is from,if they're Irish and a rubbish housemate, doesn't make them any less rubbish cos they're Irish. In recent years, all the Irish housemates have given our country a bad name more than anything else-Spiral and Seany mainly.

I'm happy Noirin is a decent housemate and I'm glad to see a decent Irish housemate for once but it makes no difference to the show.

Of course it would be nice to see more Irish housemates, but as long as the housemates chosen are good I don't mind. What does bother me is that C4 don't care for Irish viewers. They own the rights to BB here, they hold auditions here and have chosen an Irish housemate - so it's only fair that they allow us to vote.

As sombody said above, if they cancelled voting in Wales, they would not be happy. I know ROI isn't part of the UK, but that does not mean we should be excluded.

What also annoys me is that they tried to cover it as a technical fault for so long.

I was planning on e-mailing BB again over the axe of Irish voting, and I hope other do as well.

Also, they have stopped giving money to charity off phone voting because they can't afford to lose it. So, why not bring back Irish voting back so they can earn more dosh?

He was from Northan Ireland. I thought this was just about ROI housemates.

If you include Northern Irish;
Tom (BB1; Tyrone)
Orlaith (BB6; Belfast)
Séany (BB8; Belfast)

YEah the fact that they cant vote is probably the bigger issue here. I didnt even realise they hold auditions in Ireland! HOw do they justify the blocking of the votes then? Have they given some sort of an explaination?

Welsh votes and scottish votes went a long way into making Rachel and Mickey top 2.

Look at the Irish contestants record during 3 of the first 4 BB's. Two came 2nd in BB1 and BB4 and we have 1 winner in BB2 and was voted best BB winner ever in a recent poll. I agree with you Irish contestants do bring a certain balance and fun to the show unlike half the British Contestants.

It would have had me thinking that noirin could have had a chance of winning BB but seen as we don't have a vote i think her chances are shortened because of it:sad:
