There's Swine Flu probs about 5 mins from most of us, to be fair. But because of it's nature, it either goes unnoticed or undiagnosed.

Btw I love Ripon cathedral LOL. Random.

Its the same as normal flu in terms of strength and what it can do ... nowhere near as bad as the media make out

It is the first flu pandemic in 40 years - the last in 1968 killed about one million people.

I think it's kind of serious in how fast its spread, but really can't do anything horrendous to you. The only reason people with the flu are being kept away from others is to stop it spreading, not because its hugely dangerous.

Just put it this way, it killed something like 1 in 10 in Mexico which has a poor health system. The British NHS is something like the third best in the world and we're much more developed than Mexico. The only ones at risk are those already ill, the older people, the younger people.

...if you're in 100% health, yes.
It's as bad, if not worse as the media make out if you've not got 100% health.

Btw ninastar I don't live near Ripon haha, I live in Durham but I've been to Ripon before!
