Technically, he can call himself whatever he wants to, with or without deed poll, so long as he doesn't intend to defraud anyone.

If Noirin has been allowed to remain a housemate and not draw the glasses on every day, I'd say Freddie would have a good claim to stop people calling him halfwit.
