Boyzone humilated by no show fans

Aging Irish boy troop Boyzone have been left humiliated after performing to a half empty arena, proving their comeback bid is truly well past it's sell-by or 'sell-out' date.

Unlike their nineties rivals Take That, who have broken records selling out stadiums across the country, the Irish lads were forced to continue to a barren Liverpool Arena this week on the latest leg of the 'The Better 09 Tour'.

These snaps show the embarrassing turn out for Ronan Keating and his merry men, amid claims only 5,000 of the 10,500 seats in the Arena were filled.

Other whispers allege some of the tickets were even flogged for two for one and given away on radio competitions in a desperate bid to fill the concert hall.

And the quiet welcoming didn't go down to well with the boys, who managed to preserver through the echoing venue.

On concert goer said: 'Shane looked really p***ed off! Ronan and Stephen still carried on like true professionals, they carry the other three...'

Keating formed the group in 1994 with Stephen Gately, Shane Lynch, Mikey Graham and Keith Duffy.

In their heyday they achieved 16 consecutive Top 5 hits on debut, with six songs going to number one.

Still the record books weren't enough to carry them down memory lane last night. Oops.
