Japan warns that North Korea may fire missile at U.S. on Independence Day

North Korea may launch a long-range ballistic missile towards Hawaii on American Independence Day, according to Japanese intelligence officials.

The missile, believed to be a Taepodong-2 with a range of up to 4,000 miles, would be launched in early July from the Dongchang-ni site on the north-western coast of the secretive country.

Intelligence analysts do not believe the device would be capable of hitting Hawaii's main islands, which are 4,500 miles from North Korea.

It was announced today that the U.S. has deployed anti-missile defences around Hawaii in response to the threat.
North Korea test-fired a similar long-range missile on July 4 three years ago, but it failed seconds after liftoff.

U.S. Defence Secretary Robert Gates said the additional defences around Hawaii consist of a ground-based mobile missile system and a radar system nearby.

Together they could shoot an incoming missile in mid air.

Nah North Korea just like to fire out hot air, they love to rant.

If there is a WW3 within the next 20 years then it will start in that part of the world, USA will back Japan, South Korea & Tawian no matter what happens, China and Russia will support North Korea..
But the chance of a WW3 is slim, then again anything can happen in the future, they said WW1 was the war to end all wars...

No mention of Iran? I think a possible WWIII could start over them as much as it could over N. Korea. And I dont see why Russia would go against America again, to be honest, by default.

North Korea would get absolutely obliterated if it did fire a missile at the USA, I doubt they would fire on the USA, it would have huge repercussions for North Korea.

Thing is that China would not just sit there and let the U.S attack North Korea if such a thing happend..

North Korea always claim to do this that and the other, biggest threat is North Korea selling weapons.

The U.S know that North Korea have made fake U.S money to try and de-value it in the area.
