I like Noirin.. I don't think she's a user at all. She got herself into a situation that she didn't really expect and then found difficult to get out of. I genuinely think she just found it difficult to hurt Sree's feelings.

Noirin did use Marcus to get at Sree, but only because he was pestering her so much and she knew it would p*** him off, which it did and caused even more trouble in the end!

The trouble is... Noirin tried very hard to be tactful with Sree and she held back her true feelings whether that was not to make her look bad or trying to be respectful to Sree.However the whole situation is now frustrating her and she has become niggly and totally impatient with him because the thick idiot is unable to to show her respect in the same way.
I am not sure about Noirin yet but I do empathise with her and can see where she is coming from....and fair play to her...she didn't buckle to that interfereing bossy control freak....Lisa.

I can't believe some of the responses I'm seeing here.

He harassed her. He followed her around for days on end. He touched her every three seconds. He told her he was in love with her but that he wanted to wait until he was on the outside to do anything about it (which, if nothing else, is presumptuous). He judges her. He doesn't like her having fun with others. He calls her "dumb and thick" and that she doesn't see anything but herself. He starts getting nasty with her friends. He tries to make her jealous. He interrupts her sleep time and time again to make himself feel better. He begged Big Brother to make her like him.

And now, when she's finally fed up with it and is telling him where to go, she's being vilified? She's being judged because she prefers Marcus' company to Sree's whiny, clingy, possessive and obsessive version of friendship? Where's the logic here?

So what if she's friends with someone who flirts with her. She's a big girl. She can handle herself. There's a difference between Marcus' comments and Sree's overbearing, overpowering, and overwhelming possessiveness. The girl can't breathe with him! And when she finally claws back some space, he gets nasty.

It's wrong to judge her on this. She's tried to be as friendly as possible with him and he's taken it all for granted. The girl can't win in the eyes of a lot of you!

If anyone's two-faced in this situation, it's Lisa. She's telling Sree what he wants to hear and going to Noirin and doing the same.

How is having a playful conversation about what she would do for a can of cider -- and then stating she wouldn't actually lower her integrity in such a way -- sinking to Sree's level? How is it even in the same universe as Sree's level? She was having a playful, flirty conversation with a male friend. We've all done it (at least I have). It had nothing to do with Sree. He wasn't even there to start with! She had no hidden agenda there.

And Marcus said, "I don't just want us to talk when we're sad. I want to talk to you because I like you." Or something similar.

She's not flirting to get back at Sree. She's making a point. She's not interested in him.
