BIG Brother housemates will nominate each other for eviction LIVE on air this week.

Bosses will spring the move on the wannabes on Wednesday night in a bid to boost ratings.

The contestants may also have to nominate in front of each other in a further bid to pile on the drama.

Chiefs are worried after just two million viewers watched host Davina McCall boot Cairon Austin-Hill, 18, out of the house on Friday.

That was a million down on the previous week's eviction. Saturday's highlights show drew just 1.2million.

Meanwhile Oxford graduate Freddie Fisher was given the chance to dump his nickname "Halfwit".

Bosses of the Channel 4 show made him change his moniker at the start of the series - and also insisted glamour model Sophie Reade, 20, be called "Dogface".

As his 24th birthday gift yesterday, posh Freddie was told he could either get his own name back, give Sophie hers - or let Noirin Kelly, 25, finally remove her marker-pen glasses and moustache.

BOOKIES William Hill said betting on Friday's eviction was the lowest in nine years.

Agree. They want NEW viewers, not make it interesting for those who still bother to watch. To get new viewers it needs shaking up, live nominations won't do that.

Boo, this has been done time and time again. It never creates any drama, it's just dull and repetitive.

Meh, could have been something more exciting, but do you expect really? At least it's something I spose.

They could make it better by having the 2 or more housemates who recieve the most nominations moving into a secret room until Friday like next to the Diary Room or something, where they're told that they don't face eviction, and the rest of the housemates do.

They can watch the housemates 24/7 until Friday, and then when Davina talks to the house she reveals the 2 housemates who have recieved the most public votes, and then the 2 or more housemates in the secret room have to unanimously decide to evict one of them live on the plasma screen.

Aww! BB actually gave Freddie a good pressie.
-------------

It's good there aren't new housemates !!

The thing that makes BB good is that it is 'real life'. As in we get to see people doing things that everybody does.
Like making friendships, going through emotions, supporting each other or just having fun together. Seeing the way they interact with each other.
Most of the best moments of BB are when we see HM's have bonded and become really close or just have a funny moment.

So we don't need new housemates, we need to see these ones with more depth.

But that means 1 person will be evicted on Wednesday then, the person with the highest noms will be Freddie, but why would they want to lose Freddie when they know he is fave??

They will probably open the lines for 10 mins for the 2 people with the most votes because Freddie going immediatley would be unfair if its soley based on the HMs vote.

Oh dear they have done this before a couple of times and i find it the worst thing they do on this show. Its so boring and didn't work well on CBB6 how its going to boost the ratings i have no idea:conf2:
I'm finding this year a big joke!

Live evictions - Sounds good to me.

Charlie (who likes to appear as everyone's friend) will squirm and will Niorin vote for Sree

Sree will have trouble saying a second name in front of everyone so he'll probably cry

I hope Freddie votes to change his own name. The 2 girls don't like him anyway and it will get Lisa going again

I think it could be good:cheer:

BB please make sure the reasons are full and frank

BAD idea. Never works. Means that they'll pick on the weakest housemates, rather than nominate who they really want. Hardly anyone will nominate Sree because Lisa likes him. Dogface won't dare nominate Charlie in front of Kris.

BAD idea.

I hope so. The BB house is in dire need of more entertaining housemates. It will be interesting to see how the dynamics shift around with new people. Bring it on Big Brother!! :cheer2:

Yeah, we could end up with the nominees being Freddie and Angel, which would be a pretty bad outcome. I wouldn't want to lose either.

Also, with nominating in front of each other, doesn't that give an advantage to the people who nominate last?

They'll probably do it like they did last year and on CBB, have the housemates write their nominations down. Let's hope that at least they arrange it so that they can't see each other's boards this time.

...and that they don't tell the disabled guy to stand up.
