Just had my plates in

Oh my god they are so unconfortable.
I cat speak properly and i cant swallow at all and its really bothering me, i feel kind of sick with it being there.

Anyone know how long it takes until it gets more comfortable?

yeah mine did its just a case of getting used to have them in your mouth its the dribbling when drinking thats more embarrassing those first few days

for those who dont know plates are braces but are removable basically a plastic plate that sits in the roof of your mouth which the brace wires come out of

the gagging will soon stop

I am almost sick all the time.

Yeah thats whats happening to me. I cant bite anything becaus emy teeth wont reach the teeth you bute with so i cant eat, so techincally im only aloud to eat things like soup, yoghurts, just stuff like will go down easier. I had some custard right now and then went down alright. I phoned up the orthodontist and she said that in the first 2-3 days i will only be able to eat soft foods, so she said that in about 2 days time i will be alright to eat properly.

How long did it take for you to eat properly?
