coz he was being too intense about it. it was giving him a chance to talk down to people and weild his knowledge over them. its not neccessary to be so precise and include practicing scales together. its very short sighted and self obsessed

It's not like he's doing it purposely though, he's not saying "I'm more intelligent than you, so listen to me" he's just trying to help, and get them to pass the task. I'd bet Charlie (or anyone from the popular clique) could do the same, and no-one would have a go at him.

From what we saw I can see why they might be getting irritated, I think Freddie although he means well needs to reign it back sometimes? They were quite mean though.

I think Freddie is trying to hard to fit in with them which can come across as being too serious/annoying.
