Hello.
If you havent quite noticed, im Gay.

Ive opened up to my mother about it and everything, and shes okay with it, but recently ive been seeing a guy, and shes like oh wow.

But now shes pressuring me into telling the rest of the famly (and theres 6 of us) that im gay. Shes like, Conor its unfair on them, i want you to do it. And im like, well im not ready yet mother, please just accept my desicion.

She said that im being pathetic and stupid, and that its not hard telling everyone, when it actually is :(. Also she said she will tell hem without me knowing. How mean.

If only she knew what it was like.

Advice anyone?

Just tell her that you're only just getting used to it and you need time to prepare yourself and get your head around it before you want to tell everybody else? :hugesmile:

Anyway, I don't really knoww what I can tell you, I suposse it may be hard but the best thing to do would be to come out to your family, because if you don't then your mother's going to do it for you. & I'm guessing it would mean more to them if you did it yourself. I think you should just suck it up & tell them, I mean if you're mum's okay with it then I can only guess that the rest of your family won't have a problem with it.

I didn't even mean it in a bad way. Anyone with a half decent gaydar can tell a gay person from a straight person whether out or not and not just through actions either. So they probably do have an idea. Just being realistic. Sorry if you don't like the truth.

Conor, don't let your mother push you around. You took a big step in telling her and I think it's a complete abuse of trust if she then goes and tells your family without your consent.
