I think Hindu's can drink alcohol ok and its only beef that they can't eat as far as I know.

No, drinking alcohol is allowed for Hindus, they're just not allowed to eat certain meats. Alcohol is not allowed for Muslims. I think... :/

Strict Hindus are not allowed to eat meat at all or drink alcohol but more liberal hindus stick to the no beef rule only.

No Hinduism is a term used for lots of smaller religions, though the term Hindu is a recent invention. Its also older than Muslim, Christianity.
