True, very true.
But somehow I think this could easily make history.
He's widely recognised.

I don't think they should as it's not going to affect them personally so I can't see any reason to.
No, the producers shouldn't.
If I remember correctly the BB6 housemates weren't informed of the July 7th London Bombings, something which could have directly affected some of them, so if they weren't informed of a situation as serious as that then I don't think they should be informated of the death of a celebrity, no matter how famous or talented they are.

remember the year the housemates had to do news reports and then randomly something about their family would be threw in? i loved that!

But I do remember on BBLB that day Dermot said at the start "We have been in contact with the housemates family and friends and no one related to the housemates were harmed"
But yeah, i'm not sure if they should let them know. It would be odd if they did a thing like they did in bb aus of the past 100 days in news for the finale. Everyone would be so shocked.

i think they should tell them.
Look, I am not trying to be disrespectful, but he was just a pop star. He was not a family member or a friend. It's not important enough.

So? I really don't care about celebrity status. It's all too superficial for me.
The fact is, the HMs don't need to know. That's all I'm going to say on this matter.

I think they should tell the house. The biggest cultural icon in etertainment passed away...why not throw a Michael Jackson tribute for the HM's? I think it would be cool seeing as they've had members of the Jackson family in the BB house before.
No they shouldn't. They weren't informed of the 7/7 bombings

Absolutly not, they all signed the contract which stipulated that would live in social isolation and wihout exposure to the media outside from entry to eviction.

they should because then we can see what they have to say and what there reactions are!
they've told them about outside news before, a pop legend that has just died is actually important.
they played the football in the big brother nadia won so michael jackson is waaaaaaaaaay more important than that.
SO YES!
more people agree so they SHOULD.
:pat:
We have lost a dear legend, a king that made the whole world moonwalk together.
Maybe god just needed to call another angel home.
He deserves everyones applaud for the music and talent he brought to our world, no one can move like he did.
Pass this message on to show how much you care for our king of pop, may he be remembered forever!
rest in peace Michael Joseph Jackson.

what when a pop legend has just died?
i no that they could find out afterwards but as i said in one of my comments before we could see what they have to say about it and there reactions.

Unforutunately something like that doesn't come close to the death of Michael Jackson.
That's just the way it is. One celebrities death means more to the masses than 72 deaths in Iraq.
It's harsh but that's just how it is. :/
and I think they should be told, it is something important I'm sure many of them grew up listening to his hits. Besides if they were told Rihanna was at number one for ten weeks then there shouldn't be a doubt that they should tell them that Michael Jackson has died.
