American Werewolf in London, It terrified me as a kid. Those dream sequences....I was terrified of people knocking the door at night for days. It's the only film I've never watched again since I watched it as a kid. Every other scary film I watched as a kid doesn't bother me now.

"Vacancy" in the cinema. It's not even ghosty, it's about murderers who hunt these people down in a hotel to murder them in a snuff movie. It was so scary... I saw it with my cousin in the cinema and we both ended up crying from fright pmsl.

The Exorcist is very tame by todays standards, but the religious connection is the reason it was so frightening at the time!
Showing my age oh well! lol

I saw the Exorcist when it first was shown in this country, and the cinema was full of hysterical people, but my mate, who is a total atheist laughed all the way through it!
I think it was very hyped up at the time, but still quite good, considering the age of it
By the way it's available here on youtube!

The sad part is what they do to actually kill the animals.
* A coatimundi (mistaken as a muskrat in the film) is stabbed multiple times in the neck by an actor.
* A large turtle (about three feet long) is captured in the water and dragged to shore, where it is then decapitated and its limbs and shell removed. The actors proceed to cook and eat the turtle.
* A large spider is killed with a machete.
* A snake is killed with a machete.
* A squirrel monkey has its face cut off with a machete.
* A pig is kicked twice and then shot with a rifle.

Opps my bad.. I had a look on wiki and I got the wrong film title.. my friend lent me Cannibal Apocalypse, not Cannibal Holocaust.. .however reading about it... it sounds great.. Im gunna have to look out for it in the shop.. or hopefully its on Zone Horror or something like that!
I'm not sure if any film has made me really scared before! Maybe Jurassic Park as a child or Jaws? lol both very unlikely to happen  but I have a love for horror films now and I go to watch the gore etc

There was a film made in 1876 called "Snuff" which was supposedly a real "snuff" movie where they actually killed people in it. I have heard some cinemas in America have supposedly advertised snuff movies but who knows if they were real or not?

Hi again 'Moses' I am a huge George A Romero fan and he is the standard for Zoombie films, although rather dated now, still watchable
The rumour was that he was asked to direct the 'Thriller' video that MJ did, but he only does his own films
So John Landis did that one , the director of An American Werewolf in london!

Salem's lot is really good, David Soul stars, the original 'Hutch' in Starsky and Hutch, and one of the few films close to S kings books!

Lol Im sorry... Deal or no deal is a joke.. the crowd get on my nerves
I know my nan was like... It stars the guy out of Starsky and Hutch... I was like cool.... Ive seen that clip were the one vampire is at the boys windows... it looked spokey.. if you enjoy vampire books.. I reccomend a book called Vampryric (or something along them line), its like 30 days and nights, mets Night of the living dead! Its a good read.. the first line got mr gripped till the end. "She could see in her mind, a man outside her bedroom door, he had no eyes." Its a good read... ps I love Stephen King books, esp Misery.... She cuts his feets off in the book.. i was like Whoooa!
