View Full Version : Big Brother controls us all

I had that thought, when I noticed that when we watch it live (when it is actually on live IF hms are still up......) the producers always cut to a break at an interesting point - if they can. It is bloody irritating. I don't believe timing would always be an issue, because so much of it is that sound of birds tweeting. Since last time I saw producers were not 15, but almost 40 minutes ahead, then surely they have time to edit stuff out that we wouldn't hear anyway. Finally after about half an hour of bird noises, something interesting happens, and before we see too much they take it to the break. What annoys me is that they are so obviously saving it for the HLs.

In other words, Big Brother controls what we watch, who we vote for etc... - not news I know, we are all aware of this - but they have taken it a step too far with cutting the live feed. At least they could have put an earlier slot on one of the extra channels, instead of so late that the most we get is probably 20 minutes of live action most nights before the hms all sod off to bed, when the bird-noise bits are taken into account.

Big Brother doesn't control me. I am a Prole. If there is hope, it lies with the Proles...

Big brother does not control me in any way at all, at least that's what I was told to say!

So are Kris and Dogface the newer, less interesting and intelligent versions of Winston and Julia?
They'd never be caught by the Thought-Police though. They don't think.

You're right they don't think. After all, what would they use?

This is going all very George Orwell, I'm liking that :-)

Yeah, I don't think you were supposed to get The Prisoner. Not entirely. Not unless you were high. Which I have never been never ever even once.

You do know that hardly anyone bothers to watch Late Night Live, Everyone of my mates dont watch BB Anymore, I watched BB9 live ALL Summer like on Red Button Non stop, now I dont watch Live at all.
I see no point in it when we cant watch it at Day time when there accually doing somthing intresting.

Maybe its just the Housemates, Last year Live Feed was at its best at Night because Dale/Stu/Rex/Darnell/Luke and sometimes Bex and Kat always kepted it entertaining, they stayed up late but had INTRESTING Conversations.

Not like this lot :bored:

Re-runs. I was too young when it first came out in 1967. It was excellent and i understood it.

Actually, I was too young to understand The Prisoner when it first came out... but thought it was brilliant. Mind you, this was about the time I fell in love with Davy Jones and my ambition was to be Barbie.

I remember the time they focussed the camera on Nikki Grahame asleep for twenty minutes. first she breathed in, then she breathed out, then in, then out, in,out.... in, out.... for twenty arse-aching minutes.

Then they cut to the ads. The sensory shock nearly caused me to jump out of my chair.

Since then I've never watched the live feeds. I feel too much like a fool.
