whats with the gameplan obsession

why do the hms go on about having a gameplan likes it a bad thing. they never specify when they say they hes got a gameplan what they think that gameplan actually is. You need a good gameplan to survive and to win.

Ive often wondered this, surely if you come on a game show to win you have a stratergy aka game plan, its no big deal, id have thought you were pretty stupid to go in there with your eyes closed and no plan to win.

I would suggest that no HM has ever had a game-plan that lasted more than 5 minutes.
Let's consider the activities where game-plans are known to exist, namely sports.
Top players (either individually or as part of a team) do make game-plans.
What helps them do this? Well, they know how their opponents play, will have watched them many times and usually have played against them.
Their plan will need to last an hour or two (except test matches,when it's five days). And they have played the game hundreds of times.
What makes their plan break down? Their opponents greater ability to keep to their own plan.
Now consider the individual HM.
They have never played the game before, no idea who their opponents are or how they might behave. Their plan must last for weeks and be maintained 24 hours a day.
What possible chance do they have?
Forget all about game-plans - they only exist in some people's imaginations.

To say you dont have a gameplan and intend to be 'yourself' is in itself a gameplan as this still dictates the way in which you plan to behave in order to win.

Being yourself (which you do all your life) can hardly be considered a game-plan. In fact it is the absence of a game plan.
Also a game-plan is not so much about "being", more about "doing".
When Andy Murray went out to play Ferrero today he wasn't thinking of being happy or angry etc, instead he was planning what sort of strokes he would employ against his opponent.
A HM would have to plan ahead what to do to defeat a bunch of people s/he had never met and furthermore the opponents would not be a united force (as in team sports) but a group who were trying to beat eachother.

Halfwit is so so so wrong.

Being a loner means people in the social group will rather nominate you than their friends.

Being an outsider means you do not fit in and have qualities that aren't liked.

This dynamic and the consequences are NORMAL and not part of scheming/gameplans.

He's nominated every week because he's an annoying/patronising/weird outsider, not because of gameplans.

Anything so say do or how you act is a gameplan though. In reality you do hold back but in the house when you hold back or be nice to some one, its all in the gameplan, all part of it.

Know housmate has never had a gameplan! Every one does to a certain extent.

Kris is being quiet, not bithing as much and letting others know he thinks his better.

Freddies is trying to act a bit stupid and happy about little things.

Srees is trying to get sympathy vote and acting stupid.

Lisas is holding back a bit and kinda keeping her mouth shut as well

Sophies is to not be as stupid as she really is and talk! lol

Karlys is to look nice and not be too mean!

Charlies is to be gay and look good and go with the flow.

Siavash is to go with the flow and keep it cool

Every one holds back part of their gameplan, your different infront of people in general but like your different when people come round famaily friends your in fron of the whole world trying to make out your something your not or make out you think different to what your really do all this in the house comes to a game plan! Because all your thinking is I cant do say this , or how would that this look etc......

To a certain extent they between themselves make eachother outsiders, eg Sree and freddie as a way of making others notlike him and nominate him.

Know on hardly goes for the big one, because you have to balance between having or trying to make out you have a valid reason not to like some one as well as trying to let people know other reasons for the same thing!

I agree with you there (although with very little else).
One of the reasons for the constant referencing of game-plans by HMs is a form of self-preservation.
It is much easier to blame an inanimate game-plan than to admit that other real people do not like you in particular.
For example,at the end of a RU match which you have lost you will think that your opposing TEAM was better than your TEAM and played to a better game-plan.
You won't want to think that the defeat was your individual failing because you just were not good enough.

Freddie is obsessed.

Accept that you do not socially integrate, accept your bad qualities, accept that people in there don't like you.

No gameplans, no schemes. People prefer their friends over Freddie.

He is the one trying to topple this with gameplans rather than just making friends.

He is causing tension and aggravation in the house. Ruining Italian opera tasks. Upsetting nice people like Karly and Rodrigo.

Evict him, he's had his day and save BB10.

We need Sree, he's fantastic entertainment and a breath of fresh air. He is the star and central figure of BB10 and he has to stay.

If we don't do our duty as fans and save Sree, BB10 is dead. We have to chip in, fight together and save Sree this Friday. GO GO GO! :dog:

Nothing in your post has anything to do with game-plans.
All your points are about "being" and not "doing".
There has been one example of a genuine game -plan and it was very inauspicious (and failed miserably). That was Nick Batement in BB1.

But yeh I agree but I personally think the gameplan is a tactic for others to turn people against eachother as well as giving themselves a reason.

But with case of Freddie, his rich, successful and they hate that! The thought of the 100 grand isit stil? going to him makes them sick, lol.

All they want is fame and money, Fred had money now will have fame too and the more he gets voted in the more they are threathened by him trying to discrdit him and make others out side the house not like him as well as those inside the house!

He talks different, lives a better lifestyle in a big house, is into Opera and is more intelligent and ambitious than them all!

Anyone who has money and goes on BB letting the world know there rich are stupid if they think they will get far!

Lying and putting on a front is not a game-plan: it is just that you are the kind of person who lies and puts on a front. It has to be the real you otherwise you would not keep it up for more than 5 minutes.
On the other hand if it is your normal nature to not lie and to not put on a front then that is how you will behave in the house.

Nah I dont agree, BB contestants arent that clever to have a proper game plan, some might think they do, but it dont go on for that long, but pretending to like people is a game plan! So lying or holding back real thoughts is a part of it too!
