I think the reason they argue with Freddie is because they don't understand him. He's not all "omg alcohol and costumes!" like they are, and because he can eloquently convey his debate rather than resorting to a shoutfest they feel out of their depth, and henceforth naturally revert back to just being nasty to him.

Basically the housemates don't understand him, I would love to be in a house with Freddie. It's actually refreshing to have someone intelligent * insightful in there instead of the usual fame *****s.
