It always happens, if a girl goes up against a boy, the boy usually stays as the teeny boppers are usually female and have some kind of mystifying crush on the munchkin they fantasise about. Also woman hate women, especially if they get too close to their precious fantasy icon - remember all the vitriol against my former client Miss Bass. :nono:
I hear this is so running true to type, it is as if it is a rerun of any series you care to mention
Wake me up when something new happens
Have to say I am glad he stayed, he will enjoy the rest of his time in there while Mary was on the verge of leaving a lot.

Oh wow thanks for that, where did you find it?
Magic Mary was the first Housemate to be evicted from Big Brother 6 tonight after receiving 60 per cent of the public vote.
In a nominations twist, the white witch's stay in the House was cursed after Makosi's vote alone put her and hairdresser Craig up for eviction.

I know on BBLB before they went live on channel 4 tonight they said that it was very close call . . . .
Cool, wonder what she will say when she finds out about the Makosi thing!

I'm not surprised its her, I did think it would be closer [see the guess the percentages thread] but I always thought it would be her who went because she has got herself noticed. Not good to be noticed in BB, not too early, if you want to stay in the house.

I'm glad you said usually. Helen was the first to buck the trend and I thinks she has been the only.
Personally I think Mary is better off out of there. If I am right though every BB has evicted a woman first

I'm shocked that Mary was evicted. She got 60% of the votes ...She was one of my favourite housemates, and now she's gone! :bawling: I think Mary has brought more to the house than Craig. Mary was very different from all the other housemates and thats why we needed her, not Craig!

It is not just Mary that has gone. BB6 has gone it is dead in the water.....All thats left is a silly twat in womens shoes a Tory poetic toff and a bunch of mundane wannabies.....
Once again they kick out the volatile ones who would breath life into the house and instead keep a whimpering blubbering little bore.....Trust the public to put the final boot in for any chance of another series. when will they ever learn.
Not in a million Big brothers will they ever learn.....
Ding dong! The Witch is dead...
SCARY ‘witch’ Mary was last night booted out of the house — and said she wanted to bed Roberto.
She told Davina: “My emotions went from extreme hate to extreme love.”
The 31-year-old insisted Roberto had the hots for her and hinted that she wanted to sleep with him in the house.
She revealed: “I was beginning to feel so relaxed. I’d like to get to know him when he leaves the house.”
Mary added: “If I had stayed, maybe me and Roberto would have got together.
“We had such a hot and cold relationship, my emotions went from extreme hate to extreme love. He was gutted when I left.”
There was a mixture of cheers and jeers for Mary as she left the house, but she insisted she was not surprised.
She admitted: “I was expecting to get totally booed because I always spoke my mind and I always tried to be truthful and not be two-faced.”
But she was shocked to find out Makosi had nominated her for eviction.
Mary had planned to stay in touch with the Zimbabwe-born nurse but fumed: “What can I say? A snake in the grass. I’m totally shocked. I thought she was my friend and she also knew I was just starting to settle in.
“I think she did that because she did say to me she thought I was a strong person.
“But Makosi totally disappoints me big-time because of what she did. I thought I would stay in touch with Makosi, but I definitely couldn’t trust her now.”
Dubliner Mary — who also confessed she entered Big Brother because she “needed cash desperately” — said she admired Maxwell and Science most.
And her least favourite people were Saskia and Anthony, who she described as “shallow, shallow, shallow”.
But she expects either Tory Derek, Makosi or camp Kemal to win the show.
Mary had been 11/8 favourite to go with fellow eviction nominee Craig at 2/5. Kemal remains 3/1 favourite to win the series.

What u need to learn is that there is an inside to someone aswell not just and outer shell because thats all a human is a shell with a very packed inside and i know probs the best nearly that u should show respect and i didnt care whether she looked like a rat or a flaming Zebra she still had a soul and a passion about her that a lot of people dont understand especially u

I suppose Mary brought it on herself by being in a bad mood for the two days around when she was nominated and up for eviction, whereas Craig kinda pulled out all the stops to stay in with his Britney dance etc. (Yes, I know it wasn't shown on the C4 show until after the votes closed, but it was shown on BBLB).
I have this horrible feeling that all the "characters" (Derek, Kemal, Makosi) are going to be voted out as soon as they come up for eviction and we will be left with a group of rubbish wannabees. I am so desperate that I am even starting to think that Lesley is now moving up the ranks to be one of my fave housemates!! Hellllp!!

Just thought of something else to try and console me .... at least it's better to be first out than second. Most people who are second out fade into even bigger insignificance, e.g. Andy, Stuart, Justine! (Alison from BB3 doesn't count and BB5 was different).

Totally agree (well, maybe not the whole Lesley is my fave thing!)
The eviction of Mary instead of gurny Craig, is a sad, sad sign for this years BB.
And that little s**t Craig is sitting in the house now, smugly thinking that his crying and Britney Spears crap saved him. Next time he's up for eviction, cue the water works and pathetic exhibitionism. Sad little b*****d.

I think she was very aware that the choices she made had to be:
1) Real enough for the housemates to think they were made by the group, not just one person
2) In line with the public opinion and not choosing someone who would be really popular in the outside world
She played it very tactically. She didn't choose Maxwell because of reason 2). She didn't choose both Craig AND Vanessa because of reason 1). And she thought that with Mary having said she wanted to go on several occasions, that this choice would be seen as fair by the public and a likely candidate for nomination by the housemates.
That's jut my opinion - I don't have a hotline to Makosi's brain!!:spin::spin::spin:

What "clause to appeal" could she have?
And she was on BBLB today saying she has no problem now with Makosi voting her, and Makosi was in the diary room saying she feels bad for nominating Mary, so I don't think there's much of a rift there.
Anyway, I hope they don't put anyone who's been outside back in this year. As much as I liked Tickle, he was disappointing when he returned to the house.

That lounge sits on it's own doesn't it, it's not attached to the rest of the house. I wonder if it's sound proofed, to try and prevent the housemates getting an idea of what the crowd is saying.

Yeah I think that's a bit part of it. When the evicted housemate actually leaves the house, it means the others can't get as much of an idea about how they have been perceived, I suppose.

And trapped in a small sound proof room, if BB blast the fake audience noise in there as well, they won't be able to hear a thing!
Keeps them more in the dark about the outside world, which has to be a good thing.
