View Full Version : Davina mentioning 85% in interview

Anyway feel that she was a bit harsh just mentioning it off the cuff like that? I felt that it showed no consideration towards the evictee and further illustrated why she should not be allowed to interview people who have been forced directly into the limelight like that and who may be feeling worse for wear, both mentally and physically. Really felt there was no need for it......particularly when it came out of nowhere like that. Further evidence of her inadequacies. She wants to present a morning show?!!

They're never harsh enough on the evictees, to be honest. They know what they signed up to, so a slightly harsh interview from Davina isn't going to traumatise them lol.
Oh, she mentioned his EVICTION PERCENTAGE! Big whoop - he'd have found out eventually anyway.

I agree with you to a certain extent. But question him on his behaviour in the house.... don't destroy him like that on live tv. I mean, I don't really like Shree that much, but he was great tv and deserved better than that. She should have realised that he was up against the insurmountable Halfwit and given him a break, thats all

She said it was 84%

I agree! Davina has about as much sensitivity as a bulldozer! Beyond that, BBBM is a bloody awful show, Davina sucks at it- she is evil - BRING BACK RUSSELL BRAND!

we have a nitpicker.... but you know what I mean right? I don't think he needed that on live tv.

I think they should ALWAYS tell the evictee the result - infact, I'd rather they made a bigger deal out of it. I want a nice graph to show.

it really boils down to empathy. and i feel you need that to be a proper journalist..... you have to see things objectively. that's what the public demands. and she failed in that simple undertaking. she had done so on numerous occassions. projected her own views on top of everything else.

I would agree with you if it was any other television programme, but I just don't think BB (and the BB viewers) warrant "proper journalism". No offence to the fans of the show, but 99% of us want to see the evictee ripped apart.

Davina is harsh when she wants to be, and it all comes down to her own preferences. She is a right bitch when she doesn't personally like the evictee. I have gone right off her since she has done BBBM. She is dreadful!!! !

yeah, you're probably right. this argument wont achieve anything really. it's always been this way. i just find it so frustrating and yet so deeply attractive!!! i'm a masochist. i must be

Speak for yourself. You are a part of the growing 'bully culture' that is so prevalent these days on the reality TV circuit. Congrats to being 'with it' !!!!! :cloud:

are they so spendthrift now that they can't afford somebody to host some parts of the show? i mean the bring on rappers every other night and brian belo (what's that all about?).

Do you people honestly think Davina said it was 85% just to be a bitch? Do you not think it has something to do with the voice in her ear piece screaming at her, like all TV presenters?

I didn't mind only because Sree is in desperate need of a wake up call

they always tell the housemates if it was a high percentage, she hasn't singled out Sree.
did anyone notice how he dodged every single question asked to him on the interview and bbbm? it was so annoying.

 That's me told.
I'll let you off though, because my post did sound suspiciously like I was that type of person, but rest assured I am not in agreeance, or part of the "bullying culture" at all, I just meant the majority of BB fans (as can be seen by the atrocious nature of those on BBBM) would want this to happen. I didn't say me.

i hardly doubt they are forced directly into any limelight. I don't think it was that harsh she has said eviction % before to Sezar, Nicole etc. I think she knew it would be hard to control Sree, so she had to just ask directly none of this how are you feeling, was it really hard for you etc.
i dont care what it was the main thing is halfwit stayed in:cheer:

Davina was not harsh enough.. I was hoping she'd call Sree out on so much more, but she was rather soft on him. kelly ozbourne and the other person on the panel didn't grill Sree either.. what a shame, however, I'm glad they played that video of Sree doggy dancing, because Sree claimed to be innocent virgin boy. His dirty ways were revealed and he was subject to face it with the public head on. other from that I couldn't give a ****'. Hope Davina gets tougher on the evictees to come.

shree was a self absorbed ejit. he never meant any harm to others- i really think that. he was just a bit deluded. and i felt for him when she mentioned the vote percentages. he looked like he was about to crack. she should have known better

if you watch the interview you will notice he answers the best he can, just cause you wernt given a satisfactory answer doesnt mean he didn't answer..he tries hard to articulate what he means but isnt always successful.also quite frustrating when the second show is cut down to a minimum of 5 mins of questioning, what happened to kicking the evictee out on the first show and then giving 20/25 mins for a interview?big brothers big mouth is always mayhem and nothing gets cleared up,its almost like question time for drunk yobs and just seems to be badly hosted..

Good well that makes Davina a good presenter, to disguise the screaming down her ear so well... if you heard what was going on in her ear you would be suprised... shouting at her to go faster... to say so and so, to angle herself this way and that way. You have no idea.

we need the interviews to be more brutal. saying this wasnt harsh, if any1 thinks this is harsh,, they ave led a very sheltered life imo

LOL @ being harsh.
Davina and the rest of the panel should have said, oh sree... you are the best housemate, i dont want you to go, everyone in there are bad, you are so good, you are so transparent, you are decent, you are pure, you are so holy, you are very nice to everyone, you got no sin.

loll naah on the contrary on candid interview would be fine, but i see no need to murder anyone..probing and perhaps pushing things a bit is fine but know your boundaries, its fairly simple that you should treat people how you would wanna be treated right?any of you happy with being interviewed by davina in such a manner?

I'm happy with it.
Didn't Davina also mention the percentage on Sezer's exit? I'm not sure.

Yeah, in fact, she's quite nice. Because she always end up the "grilling" in a good way, like commending the housemate that he/she is a good housemate.
I think the 85% doesn't hit Sree. The comment on not being able to shut up, and the you interview housemate?? does more "damage" to him.

lol but thats been my point on almost every thread, everything that got said to him he took fairly well but i honestly know he ddnt understand some of what was said,so when kelly obourne got through to him it wasnt what she had said but indeed the way in which she had said it (with her face all screwed up in the madame way only prissy spoilt kids can do)

i was expecting a bit more mouth from kelly ozzzy, she usually not slow in coming forward, maybe well warned by ch4, more ch4 editing, and gagging
I wish they said it to the house when they say who's been evicted, to to see team dumbs faces

Have you seen the BB Australia host in action? She TEARS them apart. Davina's a pussycat compared.
Anyway, Sree knew what he was in for when he entered. Irrespective, his behaviour deserves the shame that comes with it.

I think Sree needs to know how many people could see through his pathetic race card playing and constant references to the Shilpa Shetty episode.

This is my first posting, so I feel a bit like somebody 'butting in on a conversation' ...............
I love that idea too ............... but surely it's much more 'wicked' to keep HM's in the dark about how the public vote .
After all, they are supposed to be being kept isolated from public 'news and views' - and it should all add to the general feeling of paranoia. Though most of this lot don't appear to have enough brain cells to even GET paranoid about how the viewers vote.

I only watched Sree go and then turned it off, I find the interviews boring and BBBM pathetic. BBBM has not been the same since Russell left and likewise with BBLB I really miss Dermot

I agree with Arneldo.
In the early days (BB1/2) she would announce the percentages and they would appear on a screen behind her.
Then we went through a period when it became more and more difficult to track down the figures, almost as though the producers didn't want us to know.
We should know the margins of defeat so that we can use that information in ensuing votes.
Incidently, in the early days the result was very exciting and sometimes surprising, none of which is true now since the advent of on-line polls.

I for one can't wait for the big nasty thickos (Kris, Lisa, Karly) to get the boot. They are going to feel the heat on the big mouth show. All the people who know right from wrong in the audience will take great pleasure in pointing out how childish, rude and closed-minded these no-wits have been towards Freddie.
