Was it? Shame, i haven't made beer, yet

You should try making some turbo cider, it's simple to make and strong as hell

I have a friend I can get grapes from, he does a run to france once a year. But this is simple winemaking, made from fruit juice, apple juice and grape juice, it makes surprisingly drinkable wine

The bottle with the fruit floating in it is Joe's Ancient Orange Mead, it's honey, a cinnamon stick, cloves, and cut up oranges, and water to top up , I can't wait to taste it

The things on the top of the bottles are called airlocks, let the carbon dioxide out , but don't let any air/fruit flies/nasties in. You can also use a condom (un-used!!!) with a pin hole in it as an airlock

You make it with fruit juice, sugar, citric acid, yeast nutrient, and yeast

here's a vid I made which explains it a bit better

Oh wicked  It's all very clever aha!

Last of the 20 questions for now... how long do you have to leave it in the jars?

You use a device called a hydrometer, which shows the density of liquid, and when it says all the sugar is gone, the wine is made, and its time to 'rack' it, syphon it off the crud at the bottom, and degas it, get the gas out, and bottle it

I use champagne yeast which usually takes around 3 weeks

Nicky In the 3rd pic can you see all the sediment at the bottom? that's the dead yeast, you syphon the wine off that, so that you have nice clear wine
