Sorry for making a thread for this.. I've never written a long recount before so I wanted it have it's own thread, ha.
The Saturdays had a signing in Cardiff HMV for their new single 'Work' and then had a concert in the CIA last Friday and I went to both (also posted this on their forum).

My sister and I arrived at Cardiff at about 12:30pm and we went straight to HMV (but we managed to get lost on the way even though I had directions printed out to use) to buy a few Work singles. I asked the guy there if the signing would take place downstairs or upstairs and he went "Down here, you'll know when because there'll be a long queue". So we went out to try and find the CIA, just so we knew where to go later, and then we walked back to the train station so we'd know how to get home afterwards. We then went shopping for a while, had lunch and then joined the queue outside the HMV store at about 2:30pm and sat against the wall for ages until a HMV guy got us to move and stand in a line. I think we were kind of near the front which was good but I knew we were going to be waiting for ages and it was boiling. While in the cue the HMV guys came around going "You need a single ready, two items max per person, no pictures with them, no keeping spaces for others" blah blah. When we were in the queue people would go by asking people in the queue what we were waiting for, lol.. there was a poster there, god and there was the occasional people going past saying negative stuff about the Saturdays, grr. But anyway, we waited for longer and by this time my feet were killing, the sun was giving me a headache, I was burning and I was a bit fed up. At about 5:15pm we all went into the store and waited for the girls to come out. At this time I was so excited and I was shaking a bit (lol) and when they came everyone was screaming and someone shouted "We love you Nessa", which was funny. So the queue was getting smaller and smaller in front and I could see Mollie so I took a picture of her, and she noticed the flash I think, looked up and smiled at me, ee! The HMV guy then let me through and another took my single and album booklet and placed them in front of Vanessa. As they were signing away Vanessa said hi to me and I said good luck for the show that night and she said thank you. I then said thanks for coming to Wales and she said "Aww, that's sweet", ha. I then asked Una and Vanessa for a picture so they posed. Rochelle then asked me how I was doing and I said I was nervous (wtf, why did I say that?) ahh, it was cause I was still shaking and she went "Why you nervous?" lol. I don't remember saying anything to Frankie ): but I said hey to Mollie. I then took my stuff and wanted to take a picture of all of them at the table together but one of the guys on the end was like "We've got to keep on moving" so I went out of the store.

We then headed to the CIA at around 6:15pm and had to wait outside for a bit until the doors opened. When we got into the arena I bought the tour book but sadly didn’t manage to get any other merchandise because the queues were too busy (yay for the online store!) and we then found our seats. The arena was really filling up and I couldn’t believe how massive it was! We then had to wait for a while for the first support act, Mini Viva. They were pretty good and sang about four or five songs, my favourite was Emotions of Love. Then there was a small break and Pixie came on. She said that Cardiff was going to be her last date on tour so she was going to make it her best yet (or something like that). She was amazing live and first she sang Turn It Up and Here We Go Again and was dancing with her back up dancers. A guy was then playing the guitar as she sang Use Somebody and Isn’t She Lovely. She then said thanks to everyone who had made Mama Do number one, her dancers came back and as she was singing the song, everyone was crazy and were on their feet and singing along! She then said that the next song she’d be singing is her next single, and it was Boys and Girls. Everyone was still up on their feet as she was performing it. After she’d finished she thanked us and The Saturdays and left.

Then it was time for yet another break and as we were waiting I noticed someone from the band (the guy on base I think) dancing to the music that was playing out to the arena, at small moments, aw. We waited a bit longer and then these guys were taking the curtain thing down and everyone was screaming as the lights went down and the band were playing the Up music while bits of each of the girls showed from the Work video. When each of the girls came up everyone was just screaming! They all then came out in black coats and the crowd went absolutely crazy as different coloured lights were shining on each of the girls as the music for If This Is Love was playing. They then started singing and everyone was standing and singing along with them, the atmosphere was incredible! The lights then dimmed again, they took their coats off, the lights came back and they were all wearing different silvery outfits. They sang Set Me Off and then Keep Her. After they finished Keep Her they said hello to Cardiff and everything and they talked to the crowd saying that we were be biggest crowd they’d had through the tour and that they remember when they were there last, when they were supporting Girls Aloud. They then performed Just Can’t Get Enough with some chairs in the routine, which was so good. They then sang the new song, Wordshaker which was brilliant- really upbeat, and catchy and fun… makes me excited about what’s next to come. Then it was Why Me Why Now, loved the motown version. Una, Mollie and Rochelle then left the stage leaving Vanessa and Frankie. They were talking to the crowd getting everyone to cheer and when they went off Fall began. All of their vocals were so good and everyone was still on their feet and singing along. The finished Fall and Una had a guitar and they all sing Beggin’ and after that Mollie had a guitar aswell. Una pointed out that they were matching or something because she had a red one to match her hair colour and Mollie had a yellow one to math her hair colour, ha. They then sang Chasing Lights with Mollie and Una on the guitars and it was so good, I loved the acoustic version. After it had finished they all went off, everyone sat down and the flip cam video started. The clips were so funny, aww. The girls then came back out and sang a Rihanna song, I Kissed a Girl and So What, which got everyone dancing. They then sang One Shot which was AMAZING, I loved it! They then sang Lies, which is my second fave of the album so it was nice to see it live. I can’t remember right but I think after Lies the girls talked to the audience again and Rochelle said a few lines and then randomly went something like “Sorry my bra is hanging out” haha, bless. They said thanks for the support and said that they’d come back next year if they tour next year, yay! They then were talking about the Work mobile pre-order and then sang Work. After they finished they went offstage again and everyone was screaming until they came out again in sparkly outfits and sang Issues for the encore. They then sang Up, loved it! And then that was it :).

A huge thanks to all of the girls for an amazing concert, oh and the live band was great too! I really enjoyed myself all the way through- the vocals were flawless, the dancing was great and they put their all into it.. I can’t wait to see them next year!

Random pictures (I took so many, can’t put them all on!);
