Patrick Wolf has claimed that he will enter a new track in the Eurovision Song Contest if it gets a good reception from fans.

The 'Hard Times' singer told Uncut that he would submit the song from forthcoming album The Conqueror if the crowd at this month's Latitude festival respond positively to it on July 18.

Wolf said: "There is a big hit song that I have been sitting on for the sequel to The Bachelor that I have plans to debut at Latitude.

"If it goes down well, then I will enter it into the Eurovision Song Contest. No joke."

He continued: "I'm a put-on-a-show kinda girl and the bigger the stage, the bigger the show. To play on the same stage as Grace Jones is such an honour, its like winning a spiritual Grammy.

"I cannot express what this existence of her artistic output means to me in words, so I am going to be expressing it through music and passion on the night and yes, I plan to cover a Grace classic."

Wolf also urged festival-goers to engage in safe sex, but added: "Don't lose your virginity unless he/she can name at least five Joni Mitchell albums."

LMFAO.
I love him.
&haha @ the britney reference.

I don't see the fascination with him TBH I find him annoying and even dull.

He's already gearing up another album? :elephant:

It'd be....interesting to see him at Eurovision. He's too good for it though.

^ Agreed.
I think he's finished both The Bachelor & The Conqueror. I remember reading he'd finished 'Battle' when it was going to be the album title but couldn't decide what songs to put in because he'd composed so many so he decided to split it into two, therefore it's just a matter of releasage. :]
