I agree with "Crash" 2004..
I didn't see the newer Crash. The older movie (absolutely no relation to eachother as far as I know) was about a group of people that would feel turned on by seeing motor accidents. It was a pretty strange movie, but quite sexy as well.

Yeah, I like it. I think it's one of his weaker films like Summer of Sam but even his worst films are still very good. Have you seen The 25th Hour or Jungle Fever?
setanta
08-07-2009, 11:52 PM
even his weaker ones are interesting though.... his films show him to be a very conscientious director- very moral and just in his observations. i never feel he's trying to push me in one direction or make me feel a certain way. there's a sense of fairness in him. most directors want to spoon feed you their notions of what right is- it's never black and white with spike lee. that's hard to do in a medium so suited to manipulation of emotion. i'm probably waffling now lol

Shooting Fish - the best con man film ever!
The Women (1939) - wasn't under rated at the time but now there is a new version  watch the old one first, starring all women, written and poduced by women (I think!)
High Fedelity - only cause I adore John Cusack!
Best 1980's Teeny film was the Breakfast club, most underrated was Say Anything, starring John Cusack! It worth watching because of his monologues!

Watched Rob Roy again the other day and was reminded of how badly it was overlooked in it's day becuz of the exposure Braveheart was given. In my opinion Rob Roy is a far superior film with some wonderful performances. Could watch it again and again.
