Celebrity Love Island topped BB in the ratings for the first time last night (Saturday), according to early figures.

The latest Z-list antics on the Fijian isle interested 3.18 million (20.5%) at 10.25pm, a half million ahead of the 2.68 million (12.8%) who had tuned in to watch highlights of day 8 in the house at 9.15pm.

However, the figures remain consistent with the same show last year, when 2.8 million saw the first Saturday night challenge unfold live.

People complain about Big Brother, Love Island is worst. An island full of celebs trying to become famous again, How Sad! :bawling:

As bad as this years BB is which is pretty bad I have never been tempted to watch "love Island" . With celeb posers only I just can't be botherd. Don't celebs get more than enough attention any how??

The contestants on the love island thing aren't even really celebrities. I haven't watched any of it, but one of the women at work has and she's always talking about it - it sounds like a totally pathetic programme to me, and I'm really surprised it topped BB in the ratings. BB should bring back the Saturday night task.
